Follow the instructions and you'll be fine
This is a lovely piece--it is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I think it comes off very elegant for the price. Be aware, there are a few compromises for a price this low: the metal is not solid, and the marble is not a solid slab but instead a composite of pieces. But don't let that discourage you. The metal is a decent weight and the once assembled the rack is very sturdy. And the marble top is very pretty--not cheap-looking at all. Now, about the assembly. DO NOT ignore the instructions to refrain from tightening the bolts until after you've assembled the whole piece. It may seem like extra work, but it will be far less work that having to completely unscrew pieces when you can't get things to match up. This is NOT a defect in the rack. Because it's so big, and the metal is so strong there is little to no flex, you need to l leave the screws a little loose in order to line up screw holes on the corresponding sides of the pieces. I did this and the assembly went very smoothly. It took me a couple of hours, but I was able to do the whole thing by myself, and it was level on the first try.

It does look nice once it was put together and you can't beat ...
When we received the rack, the marble countertop was not connected to the piece that it needed to be connected to. When we tried to connect the two items together, the screws were striped. We then noticed that the marble had a large chip in the corner. We called to see if we could get a new marble countertop, Amazon said yes, but the entire shelf has to be returned. We had already unpackaged everything and knew we were not going to get everything back in the box. We called the manufacturer the next morning and that is the one part that you can not order separately, so we agreed to have a new rack to be sent to us. We just made sure we could put the damages countertop back in the new materials. When we went to put everything together, we noticed the directions are not to clear and the instructions are missing a section about two connectors from the base to the top of the shelving. Because of that omission, we did need to take apart the shelf and figure out the correct way of connecting these two vital pieces. It took over 2 hours to put together. It does look nice once it was put together and you can't beat the price. Now if everything came as it should and the directions were better written, then I would have given this product 5 stars,

Lovely bakers rack, but had to assemble.
I love the bakers rack, which is very sturdy and looks lovely. The only negative that I would add is that it is a bear to put together. The instructions aren't great and several of the connections had to be made "blind". It was a lesson in frustration and took about 4 hours before the thing was finally done. I should note that this is not using the tool (allen wrench) provided, but my own toolset (rachet wrench, electric screwdriver, and drill). I shudder to think how long it would have taken with only an allen wrench!Again, this is a lovely bakers rack, and I'm very pleased with the final product. The star I took away was for the one-time experience of putting it together.

Lot's of extra work but very happy with the product.
It took 30 minutes just to un-package this and created a tremendous amount of packaging garbage. I'm sure that all the cardboard and tape and Styrofoam was necessary to prevent damage so I'll leave it at that. Assembly was also very time consuming. Parts had to be cajoled into place. And one of the pieces, the wine rack rear support, was not cut to proper length. The tempered steel was too hard to cut it with my dull hacksaw blade so I ended up drilling a hole to accommodate the extra bogus length. To be sure it was a pain and took several hours to complete but after it was finished I felt very pleased with my work skills as well as the product. If you are not handy with a drill and tools then you will likely need some help to get this assembled. But you'll be happy once the task is completed.

Sturdy, classy, functional
It is difficult to find a baker's rack that can specifically accommodate wine bottles and stemware; and have 3 shelves for other decorative storage. Not only is this functional, it appears much more expensive than what I paid for; and is similar to what one would find in upscale furniture stores.. Was delivered very quickly from the supplier as well; and all the fragile and large pieces impressively packed. (Ironically, the tiny hardware pieces packed in a bag that was open at one end, so all this had to be recovered from nooks and crannies in the large boxes). The metal is nice color--deep khaki bronze with gold accenting. The marble shelf consists of various patchwork pieces of brown rather than a solid piece---but hey---what can one expect for $300? The 3" metal lip below the marble shelf is a nice touch that was not on other similar racks. And this helps to block out some of the light that might otherwise shine on the wine bottles.Definitely would recommend.

This is a beautiful piece and will compliment any home
This is a beautiful piece and will compliment any home, I didn't give it five stars because it was difficult to put together, as the instructions weren't clear and holes didn't always line up. There were two pieces that the instructions didn't even reference that hold the top rack to the base. It was very well packaged and shipping was fast. Just note that this is time consuming to put together (about 3 1/2 hours) for my son and I to do, but looks great when finished.

Worth every penny!
This is a beautiful, sturdy rack. Assembling was also a breeze, if you actually take your time to read the instruction manual. I'm 5'2 and had no problem putting this rack together by myself. Bought this rack for $250, and to be honest thats pretty cheap considering the quality and the way it looks. Putting it together was easy, you won't be needing your toolbox for this, the L key that was provided is all you will be using (unless you pushed the connecting metal pieces in too far and need to fetch it with a clamp, other than that no other tool is necessary).

We like it’s appearance and functionality
We like it’s appearance and functionality. Assembly had its issues. Was up till 1am putting it together! Had 2 pieces that was nowhere to be found in the assembly instructions. Finally figured out they were needed to assemble the top half to the base! Life is full of challenges but this shouldn’t be one of them! But now that it’s together we are enjoying it.
