I like how big the spout is on this spigot BUT the only issue I have is the handle is a bit loose and it doesn't have a stopping point. I have to figure out where I need to turn the handle to shut it off

The product is advertised as fitting the collapsible water container cubes. It will thread on, but due to the construction features of the threaded port, the spigot will not tighten down all the way, causing water to leak (profusely) past the spigot where it meets the blue cap assembly. After several trips to the local hardware store, I finally purchased what seems to be the correct O-ring. It is a Danco #45 O-ring. 1 3/8" O.D. x 1 3/16 I.D. x 3/32 wall. They were .79 cents each. Not the end of the world, but really frustrating to have to find the solution on my own.

The spigot itself is 5 star awesome.I have used/loved the water bags for years now and these spigots do not fit the bags without modification. I'm sharing pictures of what I did to my bags to remove the 'locking lip' for anyone else who wants these spigot on their water bags. (Warning: this ought to void any bag warranty and try at own risk.)Backstory: I went searching for a spigot upgrade from the plain white cap. I found that the WaterStorageCube bags/caps/cubes/spigot are all 40mm diameter thread size (kind of unique and next to impossible find elsewhere in food grade plastic). Also the neck lengths are different: cubes are long, bags are short. WaterStorageCube does say somewhere that these spigots are too long to work with the bags due to a lip that stops the blue ring before the plug/valve is tight enough to hold water. I found that removing the lip solves that problem if you want/need spigots on the bags. The modification method shown was fast to do and finished product looks half decent. Cutting/carving with scissors, clippers, files, etc could work too if you don't have the tools used.(Extra Note: I decided that removing the 'non-structural' lip from multiple bags was a better option than cutting into the 'structural' treads of the blue ring. You can create an instruction too if you choose differently.)

We’ve been using the water storage cube 5 quart bag for our camping sink setup; bought the spout cap to make it easier to use. The spout does the job for a reasonable price, but the spout handle fits loosely in the base, allowing it to leak when closed. The solution was a 75-cent o-ring from the hardware store. We’re now 100 percent happy; would have been willing to pay a couple bucks more for the combination of spout and o-ring to save a trip to the store.

These are a perfect fit for WaterStorageCubes and provide extra flexibility by making it easy to dispense water from the collapsible water container bags.Maybe a bit pricey, but these spigot caps seem durable and a worthwhile replacement for the original caps whenever appropriate.Note: I am equally happy with the WaterStorageCubes themselves. Sturdy and take up space only when needed. A good combo.

A good replacement cap for the GSI water carrier - I have the 10 liter model. The nozzle gets a bit dirty over time, turns hard, and eventually tears the plastic mount - probably why you’re shopping for this! I’ve found a bit of food safe oil (I use an oil meant for knife sharpening) will keep the valve turning smoothly.
