2 year review
I've owned my Victorinox collection for 2 years at least, and even my boyfriend who owns the Zwilling Bob Kramer 2.0 knives is super impressed with my Victorinox knives. He's typically such a snob when it comes to any and all things in the kitchen, so for him to give an enthusiastic stamp of approval on the Victorinox knives is really a testament to their quality. My collection consists of the Victorinox fibrox cleaver and 8" chefs knife, plus this swiss classic collection of 8" bread knife, 7" carver/slicer, tomato knife & serrated and straight edge pairing knives. The only difference as far as I can tell between the fibrox and swiss classic are that the fibrox handles are rounder in girth. The materials and quality appear the same to me. Some folks might claim that the handles are cheap plastic, but I very much disagree... These textured handles help maintain precise control and a firm grip even with wet, slippery, and slimy hands which not only improves your knife skills, but safety as well. In the years since I've owned this set, they've kept their razor sharp edge & have not discolored or rusted. I love them so much, I bought my mom a set. Although I purchased 2 additional knives, this swiss classic set is really all you need if you want a more downsized but complete set. I use the knives in this set more than even the fibrox chefs knife and cleaver.

Cuts tomatoes very well!
I purchased this knife set last December, and I'm genuinely surprised that more people aren't talking about it. The precision and quality of the cut these knives deliver are simply astounding. Even a year into use, without having them sharpened, they remain incredibly sharp. What stands out to me is how lightweight each knife feels, making them a joy to use for any cutting task. Cleaning is a breeze, which is a huge plus in any kitchen. The materials are durable and of high quality, showcasing the craftsmanship Victorinox is known for. The variety in this 5-piece set—paring knives, a utility knife, a carving knife, and a bread knife—covers all my kitchen needs. And let's talk about the price. For the unbeatable quality and performance, the value is exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this knife set. Whether you're a seasoned chef or just starting out in the kitchen, these knives are a game-changer.

Sharp, good quality
These are very sharp, lightweight knives. They cut easily and are good quality. I ordered them as a gift and would buy them again.

low fuss, great quality, terrific value
knives at our kitchen don't get treated like princesses. though i like the Japanese and German knives, i know i would cry if i spent that much money and found them lying at the bottom of the sink. these Victorinox knives are light, thin, extremely sharp. the handles are made from a material that is near impervious to callous use. for our purpose they are indeed a great product and a great value

Good quality, but knives smaller than expected.
Knives are smaller than expected, look at the dimensions and make sure it’s what you’re looking for. Good quality blades, but the handles don’t seem as nice as other knives I have from this brand. Love the bread knife, but the two serrated blades aren’t great, they’re basically steak knife’s. The small chefs knife is a convenient addition to a standard size, but you’ll still want a larger one, same with the paring knife.

Quality kitchen knives that are thin and slicy
Victorinox makes fantastic kitchen knives. They are slim, lightweight, and sharp!! Good steel made in Switzerland that holds an edge and is easy to sharpen. Keep in mind that these are not super fancy or heavy duty knives. Years ago I worked in a restaurant and we used Victorinox knives.

Zombie Apocalypse knives. Durable and stupid easy to sharpen
For the money, it’s hard to beat Victorinox! Of course this is the same classic “Swiss army” brand that I grew with in 1980s+. I take pride in my kitchen knives and currently have a Shun, Wusthoffs and Henkels (which has lost quality depending on the version you buy). I’m not an expert knife sharper and only use a honing rod. These knives aren’t as hard as the Shun or the Wusthoffs but they are quick to sharpen with a basic honing rod. My shun, which I do love has chipped on chicken bones due to the very steep Japanese angle and difficult to return to that factory sharpness. Same with the Wusthoffs. The Henkel set I have feel the cheapest and aren’t even full tang knives. I know they make better versions but I haven’t tried them. To me, if you want a solid work horse reliable set, that can get abused and always return to a great edge, you seriously cant beat the Swiss made (and extremely affordable) Victorinox knife set! You seriously cant buy a better knife set, unless you spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars! These suckers will make it through a Zombie Apocalypse and you can sharpen them on a dang river rock!
