Winco Steel Round Wire Fry Basket, 8-Inch, Medium, Nickel,Silver

The basket is exactly as described. It does not have a traditional method to hang it on a regular pan because it's made for a deep fryer that has a specific hook for hanging the basket. It has a small triangle at the front to hang on fryers meant for that type of hook. You can see it in my pictures. That does not impact my ability to use it. It is very solid, sturdy, heavy duty wire, and the frame is solid metal; it is great. Exactly what I wanted. It's not flimsy mesh and it doesn't get crushed and bent. I hand wash it with a quick spray of Dawn Powerwash, then wipe, rinse with water and towel dry it. I used it in a 6 quart pan that you can see in my pictures and the lid of the pan sits on top nicely so it allows the steam to escape while frying and it keeps the oil from spattering everywhere as it fries. It's bigger than you think it will be so measure your pans to make sure it's going to fit.

This amazing device will cook/fry anything thats placed inside it. Placing the basket in hot cooking oil speeds up the process a great deal in my experience. So far it has not melted or caught on fire as a result of this immersion in hot oil. Incredible as it may sound, said hot oil drains out of the basket thru the numerous openings. I was astonished by this feature ! It's really shiny too and I've used it as a decorative ornament around my home. It hasn't worked all that well in repelling deer away from my garden however. To sum up this civilization warping kitchen wonder, it's a fry basket. It fries food......

We needed a basket that could fit my cast iron dutch oven. It is perfect size and did the job! It picked up the crumbs which made cleaning up easier. Cleaning is a bit time consuming but worth it! Would buy this again.

I was surprised for the reasonable price about the great quality and usefulness of this fryer basket. You have to have the right size pot to hold the oil for proper cooking . So make sure you have one or willing to get one. I did, so it work out well for us. Good buy.

The only thing I wish this basket had is a clip to clip it on the side of your pot to allow it to drain. Other than that, I would highly recommend it!

The fry basket serves it's purpose however it would have been even better if there was a hook to hang the basket over the frying pan to allow you to drain the excess grease but other than that it's a winner.

Item is Awesome. well built and as described. However, the delivery man is seen on camera as walking in. looking around and putting the package on the floor and walking out without even trying to buzz the apt,this is not acceptable as we live in a seniors apt, building with a lot of traffic in the vestibule, He should have at the very least buzzed to make us aware that the item was at the building outside door,

POS. Washed it when originally delivered and put it away. Didn't use for a few months as still had deep fryer. Deep fryer died so we went to get this magical piece of crap and it was completely covered in rust. DO NOT BUY THIS.

The basket had a few sharp spots from the welding process a file took care of those , it worked as advertised other than that.

I was amazed at the quality of this basket. Works well for what it was intended.
