I don't know what type offabric is needed to?cover a sofa. This one is smooth and not very thick- maybe three times as thick as a bedsheet.

No, I would not use it this way. It is not soft enough for a quilt. It is a wonderful indoor/outdoor fabric for other uses.

Q: I need 14 yards of continuos fabric is this possible?

no the longest piece I ever was able to get was 5 yards maybe if you contact them and ask they could but you would have to ask them. sorry I'm not more help. but I buy 5 yard packages and I got 4 of them for 20 yards total.
