It works exactly as we had hoped, and our small cat is happy to use it. We have hallow core doors, and it was really easy to cut out and install. Took longer than it says and longer than we expected, but is working great. I can't say on the durability, but with one small cat, I can't imagine this won't hold up well. Would definitely buy again for another door if needed. I will say, the biggest cat that could fit comfortably, will be more of an average sized cat. an 18 pounder might not be able to jump in and out.

we only used half of the product and used it in the window. paired with some plexi glass and it works well for our window! seems pretty weather proof so far, but that may change when it starts getting really cold out.our cat also doesn't understand that its meant to open so he can come inside, but that's not the products fault.as for the seller, they have the cutest emails, and really care about the buyers reactions to their products. thankfully I didn't have complains, but I am confident they would do what they could to make things right.ultimately I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and bought this. I don't have to worry nearly as much when my kitty gets out, and I dont have to stay home waiting for him to come home. he gets more freedom and doesnt get locked out. its wonderful!

I like this door but it usually works except for our large anxious cat. He's turned the locked door into an out-only door. At least the door hasn’t been broken. I love that the door is clear so they can see what’s on the other side which adds to their comfort of using it. Issues: when installed on an exterior door, the instructions are on the outside. I would’ve preferred 2 stickers of instructions for inside &/or outside or nothing printed on it because it’s not too difficult to figure out. To install, use the piece that goes through the door as a template. In position, trace around it then cut outside the line because it flexes during installation. I cut it out on-the-line and installation wasn’t easy.

The door is easy enough to install provided you are able to cut the opening in the door without too many complications. The door opens and closes as described. The locking mechanism is easy to use and keeps the door closed. It's not a solid locking door since with enough force, the door can be disengaged by human hands. Our cats have not been able to push or pry it open when locked. There is give to the door on the sides of it even when locked, but the locks appear to hold with a modest amount of force. This door is only best for inside the home and shouldn't be used for exterior enter/exit since there is no top sliding door that can securely close off the opening from any outside critters trying to get inside. I would buy again though.

I purchased this product because my outdoor dog is now inside due to a medical condition and I couldn’t keep her away from the cat food and litter box. My cats love it! I did take the door off because one of my cats couldn’t figure the door out (LOL) but they love it. They sometimes just walk in and out because they can. I think the laundry room is their safe place now. This was easy to install and took only about 15 minutes from start to finish. I highly recommend this!

I don't usually write bad reviews because I realize that everyone's experience can be different. But this cat door is so frustrating that I want to warn others. First, the instructions are very hard to interpret. I'm a somewhat handy person, but had trouble with theses. And second, the lock is frustrating. It doesn't lock completely and even after I manage to get both of the slide controls in the proper place, my cats just push the door open anyway. The only reason I haven't returned it yet is because I made a custom frame for the window using the dimensions of this pet door. If I can't figure out a way to lock the door, I'll return it and start all over.Update: I figured out how to lock the door. The instructions should explain this more clearly. However they were obviously written by someone who doesn't know English well. To lock the door, open the door toward you, push the green lock to the right, close the door and push the red lock toward the left. The trick is the door must be open in order to lock one side first. Something else I failed to mention in the first review is that the screws are not long enough. There are 2 sets of different length screws. The longest ones do not go all the way though the front and back frames. Perhaps they mean for you to use a long screw on one side of the door and the short one on the other, but in my application that wouldn't work. I had to find other screws.

This cat door is well made. The flap works well. I like the clear Plastic door. There is only one door.The is one of two cat doors I had purchased. I put this in a fence in my back yard. I have coyote's . So it is just an escape door for my cat incase he is chased by a coyote or ? I plan to buy three more as emergency exits for him. I spent $800 on Coyote fencing on my property; but he is a feral cat that is savvy to Coyote's. But I am a firm believer to close the gate before the cows are gone.You can spend more for for cat doors but why. This is a good quality cat door. The box it comes in is a poor quality and design. But you are just tossing the box when you are done. The other cat door was a PetSafe Wall Entry Pet Door with Telescoping Tunnel that cost $60 . But my walls are 1 foot thick in my house so I needed the extending tunnel. But both are of the same quality. Except the the Petsafe is double flaps.

Works great to keep the nasty smell out of the rest of your house. Moderately easy to install. Takes a bit of pre planning. Tip. Use the bigger Insert side to trace out your cut on the door and drill in the corners all the way through the door if it’s hollow for easier alignment. Took me longer than I expected. It looks good but kinda cheap... which it is. My cat has busted through it while the lock feature was on. So the mechanism is a little weak. But it’s not broken.

Diese Klappe war für den Inneneinbau in die Wohnzimmertür gedacht. Die Montage war einfach. Es war keine Schablone beigelegt, so das das umständliche abmalen der Steckseite notwendig war.Leider bleibt die Durchgangsklappe immer an der Seite hängen an der die Stubentiger gerade durch gehen. Geht nicht in die Mittelstellung zurück, das verhindert weder die Zugluft und erschwert den Durchgang für die Tiere.
