VERY PLEASED!
Bought for Outside Tile Steps. This were installed outside. Hot weather most of the year and also rains a lot. So far so good! Very Rough and Great Grip! Wish I could have found them in a different Color. Would definitely Recommend to anyone with Tile Surface Steps as is what I used them for. Bought them already pre cut with round corners. I suggest this as I can't imagine how hard would it be to cut this all the same size and deal with the Back Adhesive which can be very sticky. Recommend 2 people to install. Much easier and faster specially if you want them straight and as exact as possible. Happy Shopping!

These treads have fixed my slipping problems!
Hurricane Harvey made a slimy mess or our house’s main entrance ramp. After if stood under water for 5 days straight, it was dangerously slick any time it rained thereafter.I bought the stair treads to remedy the situation, and they’ve really done a great job. I installed them December 15th, 2019, and they still look good with no sign of wear today. The only preparation I did beforehand was to made sure to wait for a good stretch of dry weather before installing them, and I swept thoroughly. I had zero issues with them tearing during installation or afterwards, and they still look good 4 months later. I’m grateful that they were inexpensive and they worked!

Good option for better grip
Had a flight of dangerously small and steep stairs, this product has done a very good job of making them safer. Easy to install and very grippy. They came rolled up tightly in the package, so I unfurled them and put a bunch of heavy books on top of them overnight to flatten out. Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is the texture attracts A LOT of dirt and dust. But I am happy for the cheap price and they work quite well.

I got your Basic review and some food for thought!
To start let me say, I wish there was a breakdown to rate between 4 and 5 Stars! Ratings are SO important for a seller, I want to get it right and be fair. I have not used other similar stick-on traction strips, but I would think this product is comparable. It has a good grit count and seems sized well. It has a little red sticker under one edge, that is a pain and unneeded. Both the face and the disposable backing are thick enough that getting an edge in to separate them is easy. The red tabs don't release easily and are just in the way. So how do they stick? Ah, well with qualifications, very well. I personally don't believe in silver-bullet, stick to anything product claims. The adhesive is going to grab the first material it contacts and if that's a layer of contaminate that is not solid, then you have your adhesive contact of the piece stuck to that gunk and NOT to the surface you want to adhere to. Adhesive doesn't have fingers or teeth to grab below the contact point. Also you want to apply it without any air bubbles trapped between the contact surfaces and that is harder to get right then you might think. It doesn't let you squeegee out the bubbles like a thin film allows. I cleaned the painted surface with Isopropyl Alcohol. Slightly uneven surface. Warm 60 degree application temperature. Even with applying it super carefully, I got bubbles. I continued to work them out and then sealed the edges with Silicon Sealant. I'll see how that works out. It's way less than ideal for a number of reasons. It took a lot of time. It's definitely ugly. And I'm afraid the edges of the Silicon will roll when they get traction on them. But you can think about a more appropriate type of glue to seal down the edges. I found they tend to lift potato-peel fashion on the edges. I do think sealing the edges with another glue will keep them down. But that's what I can share with you for now. I have this situation and I needed it to WORK. Your situation may give you more options to pursue than I was looking at. Hope this helps!

Making outside wooden steps safe
These were easy to install and it seems like they are going to stay in place. This winter will be the true test. I bought these for my mom’s wooded steps leading to her front porch. I hope they hold up to the snow. I pulled old carpet from her stairs. I put a fresh coat of paint then these strips. The strips looks nicer than the previous carpet.

2 sets totally different. One great, one garbage!
Update: I didn’t even ask for a refund because I needed them and I put them down but the seller reached out to me and I’m updating my review to reflect excellent customer service! I have a very long wheelchair ramp and had a serious fall recently so I ordered these. I ordered the exact same thing just a few days apart when I realized the first set wasn't enough. The first set went on easily, paper peeling and the strips adhering well. I just applied the 2nd set. The paper is practically glued to the strips, coming off in shreds and leaving residue. The adhesive isn't very sticky compared to the first set and although I used a roller, I see some coming up and they haven't even been down an hour. I can't return as they are down and I needed something but don't waste your money. You may get great ones or garbage, no way to know.

Easy to install and if necessary, lift and restick.
The person applied them in the wrong position on all stairs. They needed to correct the position days later and were able to lift and re-place into proper place. Obviously the surface needs to be clean but the asphalty adhesion of the strips seemed to sink fine back into their new position.

beware of installation woes
this product was an Amazon pick and had great reviews, I applied these guards on dry, clean wood and got a good stick, after one month, and one rain storm, the guards had completely degraded. The adhesion on some dissolved with the rain, the guards cracked, tore and behaved like tissue paper. the company quickly responded to my pictures and complaint but said it was because of the wood not being flat and water getting underneath. The wood was slightly warped, less then 1/8th warp and the adhesion should have kept the water out. This does not explain why the material itself degraded. I was able to get a full refund from Amazon, the company would not do so.
