I need to deburr slots between flanges in aluminum airplane ribs. Can't use anything with iron.** A: Sorry I'm not sure about that. I mainly use em for knives buffing polishing kinda thing nothing as delicate as what ur doing. **Q: can these be used to shape wood?** A: They can be used for wood but give off a lot of dust depending the species and depending on how dry the wood is. Hardness of the wood and speed of the tool you are using also play a part in how long the bit lasts. I use them for drift wood and they do an excellent job. **Q: Brown exterior buildup around my white aluminum window frames, can I use these to sand that hard stubborn muck off?** A: I'd probably start at the higher grit 1st black I believe Is 800 . I'm not in the garage otherwise I could give you Better advice. Always better 2 start at higher grit and Work your way down with whatever u have available on Hand always . Especially if your not familiar with what your Attempting to do and with what. If that makes any sense.
