I live in East TN about 30-40 miles from the Knoxville stations and this antenna is GREAT. I mounted it to my satellite dish (using the included hardware) and used the cables already there for the satellite and I get 20+ very clear channels. I was surprised by not only how many channels I get but many are in HD. This is a good antenna at an affordable price. Some channels will go out in bad weather (but that happened with the satellite too). If you are thinking about canceling cable or satellite, give this a chance. I chose this antenna not only based on reviews and price but because it appeared I might be able to use the included mounting hardware to mount this directly to my old Satellite dish- and it worked so easily! Attach the right cable from your satellite and it's really that easy. Be sure to install the amplifier near the TV. If you want to split the signal to multiple TVs, you can do that (after the amplifier) OR you could theoretically mount another antenna to your dish and use the cable for the second (or third) TV that was hooked up to satellite and you wouldn't have to split or run more cables inside! This sure beats paying the monthly satellite bill!

if anyone is not satisfied with this antenna, then they are expecting the impossible. Of course not everyone will pick up thousand of channels while mounting this in a basement! But if your expectations are reasonable and you know what to expect for your location, then you'll be pleasantly surprised what this little plastic looking toy can doI live in Brooklyn, so my distance needed is not that much. Most channels are coming from within 30-35 miles. But still I'm comparing it to other antennas I had in the exact location as this one, and some channels were tricky, they came in good sometimes, bad at others. And no signal at all for them sometimes. So I kept adjusting their position a little to the right or left. No big deal cause my important channels would come in strong for the most part, but I'm a perfectionist, if the channel is there, I want it to work well (even if I probably will never really watch it). But with this antenna, the first time I mounted it, did a new channel search. I now got all those iffy channels strong as ever, not a flicker on them, crystal clear. And even picked up a couple more channels that never even registered at all with the others. Again, it's channels I'll probably never watch. But still, the antennas don't know that. So this one picking those up is a job awesomely preformed! I haven't had to adjust this antenna ones, all the channels are strong and clear. I couldn't be happier with this thing.I strongly recommend you try this antenna if your within it's range, and even is this model doesn't work for you, look for another RCA model then. RCA antennas outperform the rest in my experience

It works well. It has a 40 mile range. We didn't find it overly effective indoors, but when we mounted it on a 15 ft. mast, it worked fine. On a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is an excellent signal, we get a 3. If we raised it to 30 ft. we might get a 4, at 35/40 miles. What's nice is that it's light enough and is less of a problem in stiff breezes that the mounting doesn't need to be heavy duty like you'd need for a conventional TV antenna.

I'm about 40 miles from Little Rock and this antenna delivers all Little Rock channels in crisp clarity. I have it on a 20 foot pole, easy and cheap to make from two top rails for a chain link fence. Be sure to attach the provided booster to your TV as the antenna will not work properly without it.

I live on very flat terrain, 28 miles from the farthest tower. The only thing between me and the towers is the Corpus Christi Bay. I have adjusted this antenna in every possible configuration, moved it in every possible direction, and it simply is AWFUL for VHF reception. Mine is mounted on the left over pole from a DirecTV, on the roof,about 15' up. This thing is WAY too direction sensitive. +/- 1 degree and boom, no channels. On a good day, with this thing dialed in to its best position, I can only get 3 channels, and ALL of them are UHF. If you're trying to achieve a distance of over 20+ miles, there are MANY better antennas to choose from. You get what you pay for, and I got a $30 paper weight. Actually, it's too light to hold down any papers. So, I guess it's not even good for that. After reading all of the positive reviews, I had high expectations, and was severely disappointed. I used Quad-Shield RG6 Cable, and Satelite quality connectors, and only ran it to one TV. This thing is going back to Amazon for a refund. I'm glad I have Prime, so there was no shipping cost, but 8-10 hours of my time wasted! I am not exaggerating when I say that I got a better reception with a metal clothes hanger wired to the end of a piece of cable. With my coat-hanger contraption, I picked up 11 channels, crystal clear with that little homemade thing, hanging from a coat rack, in my living room. This thing is junk. The antenna I bought was a gift for a friend, I own one which is identical, and she is happy because she is receiving channels she never got with a cheaper antenna.

Great purchase. Drop my Roger basic cable. Never went back.

Crap. Picks up 10% of the channels my Channel Master does. Same placement, same coax.

OK... But thought it would be better
