Sparthos Sacroiliac SI Belt, SI Joint Belt for Women & Men - Black, Regular

It works much better than all the back braces that I’ve had. I would recommend this; as a matter of fact I did recommend it to my friend. I had bought her brace and it just didn’t do the trick. I received this one this morning and it’s wonderful. It’s something you can wear all day and it doesn’t dig under your breast or anywhere else. It’s very comfortable to wear and it does ease the pain.

I've had this for a week and I can't believe the difference. I wear it under my clothes when I do yard work and it's basically eliminated the aching back that I would get after that type of activity. It's fairly comfortable, breathable, and seems very well made. It's noticeable under clothes but can be hidden with a longer baggy shirt. I recommend this for anyone suffering from lower back pain due to an SI joint issue.

Love the support of this product. Have had an SI problem for years. A PT assistant mentioned a product like this only generically, not by brand name. My own research led me to Sparthos. If I could change one thing, it would be to narrow each end of the belt itself. The belt is wider at each end and when you over lap the belt ( 40 inch hips) the prickly part of the velcro closure is not covered and digs into your flesh. The only way to resolve this problem is to make the velcro edges meet and leave the center in a "hump", which is not attractive, but eliminates the pain of the bare velcro digging into you. Despite this one drawback, I would recommend this product , as it has greatly reduced the motion in my SI joint and allowed the ligaments time to heal. Wear your shirts untucked and no one will know you have it on. I wear it under clothes and have no problems with it staying in place. Good luck!

My wife had suffered with residual pain from an unplanned trip down the stairs for many years. This support has been helping her break the cycle of goods days followed by one bad day sending her back to the start. Doing the same exercises as before have become easier, which has allowed her to get more relief and progress in the right direction. Setbacks may still occur, but she is more confident in starting activities and feels stronger, so life is better! Update to review. After about 2 months of use, the benefit from this product had declined due to the velcro belt used to secure placement and fit. The belt had stretch longer, gotten much narrower, and the velcro wasn't latching on well. The changing shape caused the narrow belt to pinch with body movement and to provide little surface area for the velcro to attach to. I recently ordered a different hip belt that touts velcro belt reinforcement seams/panels to prevent those issues. Hopefully that helps, I'll write a review on that when the facts are in. I changed the review on this Hip Belt from a 5 to a 3 due to those issues. I hope this helps other customers make useful choices

This belt, when worn correctly, works well to relieve my SI joint pain and seems my best alternative to SI joint fusion or to steroid injections. I am an active 79-year-old man, 5'6" tall and weighing 146 pounds. I bought the Sparthos Sacroiliac Si Hip Belt (Black - Regular size). It's easy to put on, take off, and to adjust. It's light weight, well-constructed of quality materials and comfortable to wear all day long. Initially I made the mistake of cinching it up too tightly. This caused pain. Firmly but lightly adjusted works very well for me and, of course, walking with good posture helps tremendously to reduce the pain. Sitting too long in any chair is problematic. I find that walking or even just standing while wearing this belt cuts my pain sufficiently that I don't usually need any pain relief (Tylenol or Excedrin) even when I know I've done too much twisting, bending over or lifting. Raking up leaves or using tools such as a hedge trimmer trigger my pain but use of this belt + doing SI joint stretches and exercise truly keep me moving. I sincerely hope this review is helpful to you if you're dealing with SI joint or other lower back or hip pain and are looking for a good possible alternative to surgery.

I have hypermobility and posture issues and I use this belt along with thinner support with a leg portion in tandem. The construction allows you to set the under belt portion tight for support while the main straps over them can be set to pull on one side or the other more. My right hip is the issue so the way I set the belt is to have the right strap be lose and positioned at my right hip, while the left strap goes all the way over to the right hip and pulls it from there. Then you can adjust the elastic portion like an X to cover your entire hips, front or back. After doing that along with wearing it over my thinner brace has done a great job at helping my body get back into a position where my other muscles can grab it. The only issue is that it can be difficult to find the eventual fit that helps, and that the X straps can not go low enough to support my right glute, but that's ok as It's going fine despite that.

The SI belts I purchased in the past never really gave enough compression, security, or comfort to compress my right hip/pelvis properly or to wear on a regular basis. This time I used Chat GTP which has proven very helpful in selecting the right products to buy in my price range. The Sparthos SI Hip Belt provides proper compression and support, sits low around the hip/pelvis, is 3-4 inches wide, and is made of non-slip material that provides enough rigidity not to stretch or shift. I'm quite happy with the Sparthos SI belt because it is actually comfortable to wear and provides the support I was looking for.
