This was a moving and powerful text. Mary Marshall Clarke's section was especially powerful. I am still reading it all and taking it in. Very important text.

This book just won (7/30/2015) the Oral History Association Book Award for this year! In depth interviews with people who have recently suffered a great loss. The stories from Bosnia are especially compelling and eye-opening for many of us who watches the air strikes and trials on TV. I was unaware of the woman who fled her home with her children AND HER COW! These are the details the reader will find in this brilliant and haunting book. Every chapter covers a situation you've heard about, but know nothing about. If you think history is boring, you haven't been listening on the edge.
