Saalt Soft Menstrual Cup - Super Soft and Flexible - Best Sensitive Cup - Wear for 12 Hours - Made in USA (Grey, Small)

This is my first experience with a cup at all, I had literally no idea what I was doing and hadn’t done a whole lot of research or knew anyone using one, but I have a heavy period anyway and even more so now due to recently having the copper coil fitted, I needed to find a solution as I was bleeding through pads due to the amount that would come out at a time any pads I used couldn’t soak it up quick enough. I wasn’t mega hopeful about this as I did an online quiz which told me to go with this brand and the small one in particular, which says it holds 2-3 tampons worth, HOWEVER I’ve been able to wear this for the full 12 hours throughout my period, I think this is because I don’t necessarily bleed more than the 2-3 over the whole day it just seems to come out in large amounts all at once, however this is obviously not an issue with the cup. I still wear reusable period underwear alongside the cup just in case, but I can honestly say this has been one of the most life changing purchases I’ve ever made and I’m so frustrated at myself for not buying it sooner. A couple minutes after inserting the cup I completely forget about it, I just remove, rinse and reinsert every day at 8am and 8pm, I’ve had no leaks or issues with it at all. I am a very active person and have done 60-90 minute workouts plus 10-15k steps per day with this cup in and still no leaks nor have I felt it, I am excited to try this with paddle boarding and wild swimming and I’m quite confident in the cup that I’ll be fine. The weird thing too is that I feel less crampy, I thought I’d have more cramps since there’s a whole plastic cup inside of me (it is very soft though don’t let that phrasing scare you) and yet I just seem to have a bit of a dull ache and that’s it, no intense cramping, I’m not claiming that the cup is able to reduce cramps and it could be a coincidence but I haven’t had any intense cramps since I began using this. In terms of insertion and removal, I was concerned / scared about this and it definitely took a little bit to get used to, but after doing the process a couple times I am really confident with it now! I’m sure everyone will have their ways of inserting and removing but the instructions that came with the cup were really helpful. I did panic the first time trying to remove it, you may need to get yourself into some funky shapes like squatting really far down, honestly get yourself into the bathtub or shower so you’re not scared about leaking and just try out a couple things, *don’t use the stem*, you may find you need to poke your index finger further than you expected up the side of the cup in order to grip and squish the cup a little to break the seal (at least that’s what worked for me), and as per the advice on the instructions wiggle it as you remove - but as I said after just a few times doing this I got used to it and had no issues removing the cup going forward. I’m sure there are plenty of guides and tutorials on YouTube too, just try not to panic as this will only cause you to tense up more, and maybe the first times you do it do it well before the 12 hour mark so that you can come back to it and try again if you need some time to calm down / relax. This is not to scare anyone about removal, it truly is easy, it just takes a tiny bit of practice if you’ve never done it before. Overall I’m incredibly happy about this cup, the quality is fantastic, I will literally be telling everyone I know to get themselves one if they’re in a similar position to me (first time user, no kids) I can’t speak on the other size or compare to other brands, but I have no need to try anything else. I want to reiterate that this has truly changed my life and made my period a complete non issue for me, I - like most women, hate getting my period, but I don’t fair well with hormonal treatments and I don’t think it’s the best thing for our bodies to stop our menstruation period (I’m not judging people who do of course or have to) I think our cycle is important to our health if we’re able to have it, and so finding something that not only makes it easier but makes me literally forget I’m on my period and I can live my life completely as normal when menstruating has been truly one of the most amazing things I could ever ask for. If you’re reading this because you’re unsure if a cup is for you or scared to try it out, please I urge you to give it a go. For information / comparison I’m late 20’s, first time cup user, no children, have a smallish cervix, went with size s which is perfect for me. PS I absolutely adore that purchasing supports people in period poverty, it’s truly evil that anyone should have to suffer with their period due to their financial / living situation, thank you to this company for truly caring about women / girls / people who menstruate <3

This is my first menstrual cup, I was firmly a pad girl before because the tampons are just so uncomfortable. I find it is comfortable and though it can slide, it doesn't often, and I can wear it at night on my heaviest flows and not be worried about pooling. It is a flexible material and gets good suction when inserted properly. I'm gonna go into dirty detail so scroll away now if you're not interested. Before inserting, boil some water and stick it in there for 5 minutes to sterilise (and wash your hands while youre at it) unless you want nasty infections. Next, sit on the toilet, it's gonna get a bit messy. You need to fold the cup and kinda just shove it up there fingers and all until you can feel the cup unfold and hold on. You can take a finger and feel around the rim to make sure it is fully unfolded and settled. If you can pinch the bottom of the cup and it doesn't pop back out into its original shape it's not inserted correctly. Then have a quick wipe and wash your hands coz your fingers look like you just practiced magic from the dark hold. I can usually go from 8-12 hours before unclogging the drain and giving it a quick wash before reinserted. When taking it out. Sit on the toilet again. Shove your fingers up, find the tail, climb up until you can feel the bottom of the cup, pinch it and gently pull out, if you feel grip, it's still suctioned so pinch it a bit more until the seal is broken. It is a great sensation letting all of that blood out of you and you might as well call your toilet carrie cos it's covered in blood. This bad boy can hold a lot of blood so my fellow heavy flowers can rejoice. Make sure the cup is newly in before going to bed, the seal means that even if you overflow at night, it doesn't trickle out and onto your bedsheets. I've never had spotting in any underwear, it's been in for entire work days and not moved, it takes one or two goes the first time, but is easy to place when you've got the routine. One thing I noticed is that in the later stages when you're not bleeding so much anymore and its more spotty, you kinda loose the lubrication to get it in, so imo it gets a bit more uncomfortable. It's at this point i tend to switch to pads which then don't need changing as often until I finish up completely. So, overall, great when you're starting and in your flow stages. Easy insert and removal. Lasts a whole day, or at least a work shift. No worries at night. Bit uncomfortable towards the end of the period. Comes with a nice bag.

OMG it is amazing. This menstrual cup has changed my life. I was worried that the cup would be difficult to insert and remove but I could not be more wrong. I usually get bad cramps on the first 2 days of my period always have but when I used the cup they were gone I’m amazed!! The cups so comfortable can’t feel it at all don’t let the size intimidate you I forgot I was on my period so many times because it’s so comfortable. I could do my usual activities without having to worry about changing a pad or tampon being able to wear the cup for 12 hours is what appealed to me the most and the cup did not disappoint. On my heavier days I could wear it for 6 hours which is amazing compared to the multiple pad changes that would usually be in that time. If I bought a larger cup I could definitely wear it for the full 12 hours on a heavier day. But after the first few days I was able to wear it for the full 12 hours which felt amazing not having to worry about a smelly pad out in public or remembering to bring a pad. I did have a little leaking at the beginning but that was just some user error I wasn’t creating a proper seal I was able to create a good seal when I twisted the cup 360 degrees and I had no leaks after I started doing that. There is a learning curve that comes with the cup but don’t let it put you off. The main thing is to just relax if it doesn’t work the first time try again there’s numerous cup folds and positions for insertion. If you can’t figure out the cup the first time try it when your ready there’s no need to stress or feel bad if you can’t use it cups aren’t for everyone. Removal was very easy for me and I have a high cervix I had no issues reaching the cup at all. Removal can be a little messy and time consuming but it gets easier and quicker over time. I could not recommend a better cup for beginners overall the cup is easy to use and extremely comfortable.

This is the second cup I have tried (the first was a different brand) and it's pretty good, but personally I'm still not convinced by cups in general. Good points: easy to clean, good size, soft and did not cause me pain (the first cup I tried felt like it was causing me internal bruising after the first day!), good suction and did not leak, felt secure. Bad points: hard to remove using the stalk - I felt like it might break off if kept using it to pull the cup out, it came out easier by pinching the base and pulling out but this is quite hard to get in position to do, especially when wearing jeans! Even though it was reasonably comfortable I could still feel it and knew it was there, which I want keen on. Inserting is a bit of a faff, its especially hard to get it far enough inside. I also found it a pain to keep emptying it, rinsing it out, and reinserting, especially at work. Overall a nice product but I dont think it's for me, I will stick to pads.

I originally had the mooncup 2 which I absolutely loved, but I needed to replace it after having my baby. I tried 2 other brands, one which leaked no matter the position of it and one which was unbelievably uncomfortable and irritated my bladder to no end. I then tried a disc which was a massive waste of money. Then I came across the Saalt and saw the reviews, so I decided to give it a try and OMG I absolutely love it!! It is unbelievably comfortable and easy to position and I was able to do a high intensity workout without fear of leaking. I cannot recommend it enough! I'm so glad I took the chance on it.

I've loved the idea of using a menstrual cup for years, but whenever I tried, it just never worked out. But that's all changed, and hopefully, my journey can help someone else! When I got my first one, a small Mooncup, a friend told me to snip the stem off immediately as it just gets annoying. I dutifully complied, not realising that everyone has a totally different cervix height and vagina canal length. My friend's was obviously much shorter than mine, as getting this thing out was a horror show every time. The no stem coupled with the fact that it was too small (I've not had a baby, which is why I chose the 'S' - the advice at the time). I wasn't too great at getting it in either; to be honest, I could always feel it, and it always leaked. A bit shell-shocked from the experience, I put the thing away and ignored it for a few years. And then, at the beginning of this year, I thought I'd try again. I watched lots of YouTube videos and nailed the insertion - it really takes getting to know your body to find the right spot. But getting it out...I thought I would need to go to the hospital at one point, as it just wasn't happening. And I'm not squeamish about going in; I couldn't reach it because it was so high. But instead of retreating in fear again, I did some research and found that size and stem lengths these days also refer to cervix height and canal length. And I realised that I had a super high cervix and looked for cups that worked with that situation and found the Saalt cup. The first few times I used it, I got it out just fine. I found that sitting over the toilet rather than squatting or standing worked best for me. I did have some trouble removing it without creating a murder scene in the bathroom at first (nothing to do with the cup or size, just spillage with me not holding it upright). But now it's a godsend. I have a really heavy flow, and it's a life-saver on those first few days. I need to empty it maybe 2-3 times during the day on those days, but the rest of the time, it's twice a day (just because you shouldn't keep it in for more than 12 hours at a time, not because it's full) and forget about it. This particular cup is super soft, and I forget I have it in. Don't give up if you've gone through something similar; there's a cup out there for you!

This is my first cup, I want a good quality one and saw this one in some recommended lists. The packaging is a little more than it needs to be and the plastic window could be replaced to make the whole thing recyclable. However it is beautifully designed. If you sell it in blush pink I’m gonna buy it in blush pink. My first go at using was simple but I pushed straight up and not back to the tailbone so I could feel it a bit on my cervix (I think I have a slightly low down cervix anyway and naturally it drops during my period), I was worried it didn’t fit but after a while it settled into place and I couldn’t feel it anymore. Second time inserting went better, and I’m honestly so happy because my periods are a sensory nightmare and now I don’t feel like I’m even on my period. I haven’t had any leaking at all, the suction is good and I have slept without underwear with no problems. It says to check the air holes aren’t clogged between uses as this effects the suction. Just running under the tap cleared them for me. After a couple tries it isn’t any harder than a tampon to insert. I personally find it better to remove than a tampon because it doesn’t have that dry tug. DO NOT PULL THE STEM, it isn’t for pulling it out like a tampon, it is for guiding your fingers to the cup. I found it easiest to give the base of the cup a little squeeze and then it’s ribbed so you have some grip, but being relaxed is key, don’t tense up because it just makes it fiddlier. I like that the company help girls and women to have period care where they otherwise wouldn’t.

Any website will tell you if your cup is leaking it is because you did not insert it correctly. I used to have a cup years before without any issues and now went back to get one similar in price than 10 years ago. Well suddenly the cup leaked. I was researching and wondering if I am just not inserting it correctly but no matter what I tried it was a 90% chance it would leak. Which is why I wanted to eliminate a product error and tried this one here as an alternative. Well, it does make a difference! The silicone and form is more resistent and therefore keeps it's form better, which helps when you insert it to open up fully (and I have the soft version here). The cheper one I used before was too soft and just did not open up fully (this will be more relevant for women who haven't given birth). It is comfortable, opens up easily when you turn it a bit and just doesn't leak. So if your cup is leaking it is not always the fault of the user... sometimes it's the product. This one here is great and I would recommend to spend double the amount on something you might be using for up to 10 years.

This menstrual cup is a revolutionary period product, 100x better than tampons. I didn't think a period could be so forgetable and easy. I used to go through 6+ tampons in a day, which takes time and thoughtful scheduling if you are out of the house. You only need to change the cup in the morning and night. That's it! The learning curve was much easier than I imagined. After 3 changes, I had it down. My only regret is that I didn't switch over sooner. The time and money I could have saved and convenience I could have gained. The most amazing part is that you don't need to worry about running out of supplies or frantically running to the store if you forgot your time of the month was coming. From the first time I had a period (13) I promised myself that I would never let a period get in the way of anything I wanted to do. This cup supports my period life mantra.

Questa è la seconda coppetta che provo, la prima che ho comprato (di un'altra marca) non mi si apriva probabilmente perché troppo duro il silicone di cui era fatta. Questa coppetta invece al primo utilizzo si è aperta immediatamente con mia grande gioia!! Ho fatto questa premessa per dire che dovete trovare la coppetta più adatta a voi, non fatevi scoraggiare se non trovate subito quella giusta. Il silicone della Saalt è molto morbido e confortevole ma assicura comunque un "sostegno"; facile da inserire e da piegare. L'unica piccola pecca è che il gambetto finale presenta una zigrinatura troppo fine e per questo può risultare difficile estrarla. La confezione è stupenda, all'interno è presente un sacchettino di cotone per riporre la coppetta, un adesivo e tre foglietti di spiegazione, ringraziamenti vari e sulla sostenibilità. La coppetta è la svolta nella vita, niente più sensazione di bagnato o spostamento dell'assorbente durante la notte, è una figata!

I must say menstrual cups are very personal, what works for others may not work for you. I too have been on an expensive journey of finding the right one, and Saalt soft works PERFECTLY for me. This doesnt cause pain, discomfort or any pressure on my bladder, once inside, i forget about it. Cup size is enough for my heavy days (8-10hrs and i am a heavy bleeder). I've tried Intimina lily compact (great for beginners but too small for my heavy flow - i find emptying my cup every 1-2 hours too much of a hassle, 4hrs on "light" days), Intimina lily cup (too long and was sticking out of my body - binned), divacup too stiff (cramps hours after inserting - binned), tampon tribe (absolutely the worst cup ever!!! it never ever opened up in my body and i ended up hurting myself trying to adjust it and trying to open it in my body, my worst nightmare - DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!) Cups do change life, i dont experience cramps anymore and days that i do, it goes away less than an hour after putting in my cup. I feel free and airy, i dont have to wear pads anymore, and i hate my cycles so much lesser now.
