FostexUSA TM2 Earphones, True Wireless Stereo in-Ear System, Black (-TM-2)

I auditioned the TM-2 at the 2019 RMAF with my earphones. My earphones never sounded better than when paired with the TM-2! Fostex clearly demonstrated that Bluetooth 5.0 can rise above lossy expectations.I purchased and received a pair from a reseller at Amazon.com and began listening with the included earbuds and silicone ear tips. I wasn't surprised to find that I didn't get a good seal with my ears. This is typical for me since my ear canals have a sharp bend that prevents a good seal with silicon tips.Only MMXC modular connectors are provided. I emailed the reseller and Fostex and asked how to obtain the advertised optional CIEM modular connectors. Fostex replied with a part number. They said that they did not know if it was CIEM type 1 or 2. Unfortunately, the advertised optional CIEM modular connectors are not currently available for purchase in the Western hemisphere.I re-examined the TM-2 and found one of the MMXC fittings broken from the plastic modular connector. The plastic modular connector is thin and not suitable for holding the MMXC fitting. Even if my purchase was not defective out of the box, I doubt it would sustain gentle use around the home or office. It appears to be a design flaw. I returned my purchase and will consider purchasing again if there is a new design.

Great bass, airy highs. Midrange thats just where it needs to be, with nothing sticking out.I went through four different MMCX bluetooth adapters before I found these. I think I actually prefer these to my wired Dragonfly Red (which is a $200 usb headphone amp). They are far lighter than they look, I can barely notice I am wearing them. The included headphone tips sound surprisingly good, but do not provide a good ambient seal against noise. I switched them out for my Sensaphonics custom molded IEMs and the combo is amazing.Really, one of my favorite audio purchases of the last few years.

The headphones bend to your ear and the sound is fine to me and the battery last. But everytime the wind blows or I move my body around for workouts the signal fades in and out. It's very disappointing for how expensive these headphones are, but I can't find any better that will stay in my ear, so I'll just have to keep them.

Bought these for my Ultimate Ears custom IEM’s. What a train wreck. The battery case is huge. The main control button requires so much force to make it click that you need to anchor the top of the ear piece with two other fingers to keep the attempt from sending the whole thing flying off your head. The touch controls are twitchy and not instinctive in that the actions you would expect to use for a function aren’t what Fostex uses. The app is archaic looking but basic functions are there.Finally, nobody who helped design these could possibly wear glasses. A good fit means your glasses must now sit on top of the Fostex units and the microphonics that get generated by the constant contact has made me take my glasses off to hear quiet passages. I hope I can sell these to someone who hasn’t seen this review yet.

I likes the sound quality of this item when I first tried it and it seemed to do well during my run. However, the second run I had with them, the left unit stopped working half way through. Thought it might just be the battery was discharged, but it would not charge and never came back up. After trying for a week I returned them (back in January) and I am still awaiting a refund in March. Bottom line I do not recommend the product.

The receivedine with the built in mmxc adapter and the 2 pin ciem adapters.Mmxc adapter and original fostex 6mm driver arrived broken.Using the 2pin ciem adapters with my Blon-03 sound great however and are comfortable.Still 2 stars for now I have no mmxc adapters and no original dynamic drivers.
