Based on the popular video game, this manga’s phantom thieves will steal your heart! After being arrested and having to transfer to a new high school in Tokyo, Akira Kurusu is given the goal of rehabilitation and awakened to a new power—the power of one’s true self, a Persona. Using his Persona and the mysterious navigation app Mementos, Akira and his friends take on the role of Phantom Thieves, saving people from the twisted desires of those around them. Akira Kurusu thought he was doing the right thing when he rescued a woman who was being attacked. Expelled from his school and sent away from home, he is reenrolled in Shujin Academy on probation. Trouble finds him again on his first day when he comes across delinquent Ryuji Sakamoto and the two somehow stumble into a castle in an alternate reality. Caught by the castle’s king, the schoolteacher Kamoshida, Akira discovers his will to rebel and awakens the power of his Persona! Review: Elaborates on the story and brings it to life in ways the game alone did not - This book is awesome, seeing as I had never read a manga I had no idea what to expect, but for the price I had to check it out. I had convinced myself that if I couldn’t get into a manga on Persona 5 than I’d never be able to get into one since it’s my all time favorite game. The artwork is amazing and the pacing is great! After playing the games both the OG and Royal version, as well as watching the anime (which I still wish they’d dub), I find this manga gives more of an overall feel for the entire story. It feels like a circle that was only partially drawn has now been completed. I know the story by heart, but this manga still elaborates and brings the story to life in a way that neither the game or anime alone has done. It’s hard to explain but it ties up the story and really brings it home. It adds a sense of realism that both of the former seem to lack. It’s definitely worth the pick up if you love Persona 5, even for the artwork alone. I ordered the second volume immediately after finishing the first. This manga has opened up an entire new medium for me, and the story itself is life changing in my experience. Enjoy! Review: Easy read - Good book

Amazing art and quality
I pre ordered this way back when it was initially announced since I'm really into Persona. I had never looked into or bought any form of manga before so I was concerned over how I would enjoy it, but wow. It came in great condition and I was immediately hooked by the awesome art style and overall design of everything. It's slightly different than the game, but it's to be expected that it wouldn't be a one for one recreation of every scene in Persona 5. But that isn't a negative because it does the original story justice all the same, and despite me already knowing the story, I still felt hyped up going through these pages. I'm really excited for the next installments!

Fun read
This is a very good read to anyone who has played Persona 5 or wants to see what the game is about without playing it. Some parts are changed from the game, yet it stills follows the main story of the game. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see what is different between the game and this or to anyone who wants a quick read as it is a quick read to me at least.

It’s Persona 5 in a Manga!
If your a huge fan of Persona 5 or don’t own a PS4 to play the game. This is a great read, it’s basically the game but in manga form. The art is very nice and it’s nice getting to “hear” Jokers voice as he’s a silent protagonist in the games.

If you like his name as Akira Kurusu, this is the version of Persona 5 for you.
As a fan of the name 'Akira Kurusu' instead of 'Ren Amamiya' since Akira was first used as seen in here ( since this manga came out before the anime ), this is a wonderful adaptation of Persona 5's story-line. Love this version of the protagonist instead of his anime counterpart. Everything else is basically how the game goes with a few more twists and turns. A great extended perspective on the Persona 5 series.
