It is a split-pillow (plummer) design consisting of a cap and base. It can be relubricated with both grease and oil lubrication, and it features a removable housing cap for easier mounting, inspection, and maintenance. The unit is made of grey cast iron and painted blue to protect it in accordance with ISO 12944-2, corrosivity category C2. This expansion-type bearing uses a locking collar for secure attachment to the guided shaft.
