StarbucksGuatemala Casi Cielo Whole Bean Coffee - 8 oz (226g)

Pretty good coffee, but not worth the high price
The coffee is good, better than some, worse than some. I didn't pay close enough attention to the description, though, and thought I was buying a pound of coffee. It's not, it's only 8 ounces. Seventeen dollars for only 8 oz is definitely too much to pay for it. In fact, a whole pound at Starbucks is two dollars less.

Absolute Best Starbucks Blend but Watch the Price!
Casi Cielo is the best coffee Starbucks produces hands down. It is only available in the early months of the year (January-March) and I always stock up. It has smooth chocolatey notes, but is bright on the tongue and the aroma is simply divine. The body of the coffee is quite "heavy" in the mouth, something I quite enjoy due to its rich flavor and is indeed a darker roast coffee. One of the most special things about this coffee is that it tastes so clean and there are no unwanted aftertastes while you sip. I take my coffee with cream and sugar, a little lighter and sweeter than some, but I think this coffee shines black as well. A truly versatile and consistent brew. The only other coffee I purchase from Starbucks is their Verona blend (to give you an idea of my preferred palette). The absolutely only bad thing I have to say about the Casi Cielo coffee is that Starbucks, in all their infinite wisdom, has started producing this coffee in limited quantities (of only 8oz) and is no longer available to purchase by the pound. Plus, it's more expensive to buy--they gouge you in the stores for about $9 for the half pound, when online their store sells the half pounds at the normal price at about $7 for the half pound (about $15 a pound). This product in Amazon is 8oz (half pound) of Casi Cielo coffee for $10 which makes it a $20 a pound coffee. While this coffee can still command that price, it's a little steep for a good cup of joe and I'd almost alway be purchasing the even better Celebes Kalosi (not a Starbucks product) for that price, instead. So, in short, at $15 a pound it's an almost unbeatable coffee, but a hassle to get the good price online only. It's almost not worth $20 a pound as sold here but cannot be acquired after the month of June for under $25 a pound if you are lucky to see it here (or anywhere) at all. Also, ALWAYS buy whole bean coffee and grind at home, it is an immense difference! Enjoy!
