Woof! Woof!: 5 Lift-the-Flap Sounds! (Noisy Peekaboo!)

My busy little guy usually could give a hoot where books are concerned (much to my dismay). But he absolutely loves this one, and will routinely say "Bzzz" to request this book (there is a page with a noisy bee). There are many things to discover in this book beyond just the printed words. You can talk about the photos, which are crisp and full of depth; match the pictures on the flaps to items on the adjacent page; talk about the noises of the other items under the flaps; and of course, allow curious hands discover where the noises are hidden. Unlike other books, it doesn't grow boring...okay, maybe after the third read in a row, but what doesn't?!Very much recommended and we'll definitely buy more in the series!p.s. The noises are indeed light-sensitive. We have not had any problems with the batteries running out and we've looked at it almost everyday for the past three months.

Sound did not work when I got the book. Yes I know I can change the battery but it would have been nice to know before I bought because I would have spent a little more money to get one that works. My 18mo was def disappointed when she opened it.

My son is about 9 months old and he does really like these books. We were given the barnyard one as a gift and subsequently purchased this one as well as the safari themed one. They have cute pictures and make funny sounds which of course babies love.Downsides to be aware of are that 1) the book is only 10 pages long and makes only 5 sounds. That's fine of course, but be aware. 2) For our little monster, the biggest downside is that the flaps for the baby to pull back are not reinforced in any way. They're basically thin cardboard. Which means that when you little tyke gets overly exuberant...*rip* there goes that one. In our case, the books seemed to last a few weeks each. They are cute though, so if your baby is more of the "hands-off" type, I would recommend this series.

My grandson loves this book. He especially loves the babies who are in the book. The sounds are not always as accurate as they might be but matters not, he loves it. He is a year old and books are among his favorites. It is a large book making pages very easy to turn. Love that it is a board book for tiny hands. The only down side is the sensor has to be in direct light to make the sound. Perhaps a larger sensor would make more sense.

Disappointing purchase. The book was not working when it arrived. We replaced the corroded battery that came with it, it now works sporadically. The flap needs to be lifted completely up, in full light, to activate the sound. Even then, it's a 50/50 chance it will work. The book itself is large and cumbersome, the last page is over 1/2"thick to accommodate the sound feature. It was a waste of money.

Love but it doesn't work in soft light! Bummer. You must read in a well lit area for the animal noises to work when you lift the flap.

This whole series of noisey peekaboo books has been graat. My kids love the surprise of a sound when they lift the flaps!

Noisy peekaboo is a great concept, the light sensor for the noises works well in all but the dimmest light in our experience and my daughter has enjoyed learning how the sensor works by putting her hand over the sensor and removing it to get the noise.The only thing thats not great is that the flaps are quite flimsy and insubstantial. We have another from this series, the Roar one and the flaps are thicker on this, im not sure why they are thinner on the Woof Woof one.

Although the book itself is nice there is a massive problem with the light sensitive noises. As you lift the flap it needs a lot of light to make the noise. As we tend to read our books to our baby at night this is a problem. I have to put a torch on the sensor to make the noise happen which massively distracts her from the story. Even in the day it needs direct sun to make the noise. Maybe this is a problem only with my book? Not happy though.

Great book for little ones

My little girl loved this book and the animal noises, had hrs of fun with it

good fast delivery flaps on pages could be a bit stronger, toddler likes to open them and they come off a bit too easy!
