Great product, Take your time on Install
Just installed this skin on my Glock Model 22 (.40 cal). Nice thing about the skin is it's stretchable and fit my 25 year old Glock with a finger groove thick rubber grip with no problem. Just make sure you have a heat gun and use it to stretch and stick the wrap. Suggest watching the install video on YouTube that is for your gun, or the closest you can find. Watch the video all the way through to understand when to stretch the material and when additional material can be applied without having to over-stretch and understand when/where to cut appropriately. Just be careful with the Xacto knife cutting around the plastic Glock frame and to minimize bluing scratches. I took my time, took around 3-4 hours to install, and it looks really nice. Don't take short cuts...use a sharp Xacto blade and change the blade mid-way through install if needed...use a good heat gun and metallic straight ruler/edge to cut when needed, and take your time. I applied the white/black skin... the patterned skins are designed to meet at certain spots--watch install videos to see how to trim them to look good.

Fun Product! Take your time! Looks Great!
GunSkins are awesome! Great way to hook up your gun and have some fun with it. Everyone I have shown has been really impressed and there are a lot to choose from. Great customer service, great quality, great packaging, fast delivery. Just wish they had digital camo and I had more guns to skin up. I also like the fact that it isn't permanent like hydro dipping. You won't get the quality of a hydro dipped look but it's still really cool. Make sure and buy a precision box cutting type knife so you are able to cut sharp edges and have more control. The quality and look will depend on how much time you spend on the project, and how well you cut the skin. It's not hard but does take some time if you want it to look good. I spent a 1-2 hours cutting, heating and applying mine. I love the Punisher Mag Skins for my AR mags as well if you haven't checked those out.

Not bad
Minus one star for difficulty of application, I picked this item up due to talon grip peeling off are a year. That’s not happened before so I thought I’d try something new. Application wasn’t easy nor quick. Watch the YouTube video and then set up a clean workspace. It took me over an hour to apply but I wasn’t is a rush. Could it have come out better of course am I pleased with results? Most definitely it looks amazing. Now I understand I got the Texas skin but looking at it gave me a strong Capt American vibe. Durability is the question so I’ll update review after six months. Over all if you have patience and the desire to personalize your firearm I’d recommend purchasing this item.

Amazing vinyl. Thicker than expected!
Amazing. Let me start by saying I'm a very skeptical person. When I seen these I was like, no that won't last. It looks cool but how long will it hold up. This product was a pleasant surprise. If u do the proper prep and degreasing this product works. Clean clean and clean some more. Then I cut a template out of the gun shape and left extra room from the line I marked and then cut it out with scissors and an exacto knife. It is a thicker vinyl so u will need a handfull of sharp exacto blades when doing this. Be cautious and take your time. Start by heating the area its being applied to and stick the vinyl on while applying a little heat from the heat gun and slowly stick it and rub on it until it's formed the contour of the weapon. Give it a good heating at the end and a final rub down. Be cautious not to handle the vinyl to much. The more u touch the back side of the vinyl the less stick it has.

Cool Product... *Update Review*
**Update after 5 months** I'm docking this down to 1 star as the skin after finally getting her mounted in my truck it is very slick causing issues on cocking my pistol. It takes extra effort and makes a slow cock for my initial my round. Being I live in Ohio and having a fully loaded pistol in my truck is a no go, I now find the product useless and I will be removing the skin. I tried cleaning the skin and removing any oils and such and it still slides in my palm requiring alot of effort to get the round to set. All in all the product looks great but cuts out the quick use of a pistol.Pretty cool product. You will need about half a day and a ton of patience. Product wasn't as easy to work with as the video made it seem but the gun turned out pretty cool. I did it on a Ruger SR9C.

not nearly as good as my last experience
i ordered another skin from here for my wife's has held up amazin, my first attempt and with less than optimal tools, in our garage and intoxicated lol... And still, her skin looks good and has held up through the riggers that mine has already started to lose to with a fraction of the exposure her has...

Advice! Read This!!
Before this arrived, I did some homework and bought an Xacto knife with 5 extra blades, and a hair dryer.I degrease my fairly new M&P with rubbing alcohol, which worked just fine.Tip 1: The material cuts MUCH easier (like butter) BEFORE you heat it.So, go ahead and cut out all the notches before heating.Tip 2: Don't buy this if you care about fine hairline scratches on your gun. You'll get a few from the Xacto. So what though?Tip 3: When you do change the Zacto blade, they are OILY!! I made the mistake of touching the adhesive part of the skin after gettin a tiny bit of oil on my fingers.. With enough heat from the blow dryer, that spot did still stick.Tip 4: A regular $11 hair dryer works just fine.Tip 5: Take your slide off and do that separately.Tip 6: Don't listen to people who say it takes forever. I did mine in about an hour and change last night. Tonight I will reheat it and press in more thoroughly.I am thrilled to death with this product for $29! Love it. It's not for everybody, but if you're on the fence about a cerakote or hydro dip, but one of these kits. Even if you did just the slide, it'll look like a pro paint job from 3 feet away.Again, this material is MUCH easier to cut BEFORE heating. It will not shrink when you heat it, so make those cuts before heating.I think I'll get another kit to do my Remington .308 next!!Gun Skins gets an A+ from this guy.
