Thomas Sabo Women Silver Stud Earrings

great product but packaging was very poor. they arrived in a little cloth bag in a large cardboard envelope and was posted through the door when I was already sat in house waiting for a knock on the door. it wasn't till my girlfriend came home through the front door and stud on them that I realised that these ear studs had really become a nightmare due to the lack of packaging, we always remove our shoes before entering the house ( the stud bar ) came through the cardboard envelope and penetrated her big toe. I was really shocked when I heard her scream I ran to the door to see an envelope stuck to her foot, she had trodden on the stud bar to which had penetrated her big toe. in my opinion the stud bar's where to long, there where both bent due to my girlfriend standing on them, we had no option to open them before Christmas day as there was only me that new what was in there. I could do nothing else but to try and straighten them as I did in the end, but really that was my surprise Christmas present to my girlfriend was a nightmare. as I ended doing all the cooking over Christmas as my girlfriend was limping around the house with a very swollen big toe. As other reviewers have said, these are very pretty earrings, and a not-insignificant purchase, but the packaging is inadequate to protect them. Both earrings arrived with posts bent out of shape - yes, it's possible to bend them back into a more-or-less-acceptable position, but metal fatigue *will* affect the lifespan of the earrings. One other thing to note is that the earrings themselves are pretty pointy and sharp (yes, they're stars) - and this is noticeable when bending the posts into shape and when putting the earrings on.One further thing - Amazon offered the usual "packaging feedback" question. But when I went to leave feedback - in this case, the packaging clearly does need to be brought to their attention - it cut me off with a "Sorry, You've already left packaging feedback for this item". I had not.

I bought these earrings as a Christmas gift, they are good quality and very pretty. I have no problem with the actual product but the packaging as previous reviews have stated is very poor.I wish you had the option to pay a little more to receive the earrings in a presentation box. I would have happily paid more for a box as I have had to source one separately in order to give them as a gift.Thomas Sabo please read your reviews and do yourselves a favour and offer a box!!

Very pretty little earrings and quite substantial however only 4 stars as presented in a plastic bag in a pouch. I expected a box.

The delivery was not received as advised. The packaging was totally insufficient for the item therefore the posts on the earrings were laid flat to the earrings. I hope this will not be detrimental to the life of the earrings! However the earrings are extremely attractive. Lynn
