After only 3-4 uses the rubber already started to peel off and my bird kept chewing it up. So I requested a replacement. I do love that this style flods up flush against the wall. So when new one comes in, I might just wrap it in vet tape to protect it. At least until he stops chewing on it...lol

I’ve purchased half a dozen different kinds of window perches for my Blue Quaker Parrot and this is my favorite by far. Some perches have sandpaper that he can peel off, but not this one - the material is integrated in the perch, not glued on.I think the suction cups are very strong. He’s able to detach the cups like he does on all his perches, but for some reason he doesn’t do that as often with this one. It’s super helpful that the perch can be folded in when he’s not on it. He loves to rub his beak on it and the roughness of the material keeps his nails from getting long and sharp.My shower tiles are not smooth, so we only use it on windows and mirrors, but am certain it would be great for showers.

We also have the - it doesn't want to stick sometimes - issue, so we try it out on the spot we want for an hour or so, if it still has good suction we use it, BUT only our Sun Conure will use it, our African Grey refuses. Which means we are not putting much weight on it at all; However I believe it would also hold our Congo African Grey.It is a solid construction, and the standing area provides a really good grip surface. I am really happy with that part!The Husband says the suction cups are beginning to dry rot (most likely from storing in hot, dry warehouses) which is why we have some trouble from it, and others are probably full on dry rotted before people receive them. It's just our opinion, and we have no way to prove it, but our suction cups are very flat, dry, and inflexible near the middle to about half way out. Which is what is causing it to not stick on some areas, it just can't get that suction action going. Other than that we are happy to be able to use it sometimes, our Sun Conure loves her daily baths, and this just gives her one more thing - sometimes - to play on! Lol!Definitely recommend even though suction cups may need to be replaced (less than $6 for 4).I assume it is unavoidable in a warehouse environment.

I love that I now have a shower perch for my little bird. I like that you can push to the side so it's not always sticking out. The suction cup on the left side keeps losing it's suction so I have to redo it everyday. Not sure why it does it as it must be faulty.

I inherited a very nervous African Grey that plucks her feathers the minute she feels any anxiety. We were going to our family’s cabin 3 hours away and knew being in a kennel would cause her to pluck. This perch was a godsend! She actually enjoyed the trip! She loved looking out the window and was happy she could be close to us. The only downfall was I had to keep a blanket and paper towels on hand to clean up her poo. I wouldn’t use this for car rides if your bird can fly. I also tried this in the shower with her. She’s never had baths so we are trying to get her comfortable around water and hoping the steam will help her skin. There are so many possibilities with this perch! The suction is great by the way and I haven’t had even come close to coming lose.

I have 3 of these perches. I love them because unfortunately, every parrot must be with me in my shower or else there will be meltdowns. This is the perfect size for ALL of my birds, from little Java finch to African Grey. I have the larger one as well, but surprisingly find that this smaller one is actually much much sturdier than it. My grey was not as stable on the bigger size.I recommend these products, and all but my latest of the perch have been fantastic. The last one I received has had issues with turning as its parts don't fit quite right. The other night, it managed to completely unscrew itself and the base fell off the hanger– luckily JUST before I place my bird on it. When I put it back on, I did so loosely, yet once again it is somehow so tight it's nearly impossible to turn in and out of the wall. If it weren't for this one issue, I would give this product a 5 stars. The tightness I can deal with, the 'spontaneously falling apart' almost scared my soul straight out of my body and I'm sure isn't safe for any bird to be stood one. I now check it each time before I place any of the birds on that one perch.I would still absolutely recommend this product, as I can only imagine it's a simple fluke, just be careful to check the perch out before the return window closes. ( Also great for putting on windows ! Gives the birds a perching to spy on the neighbors spot. )

If you’re looking for a good shower perch for a larger parrot this one is it.I’ve had it for a little while and haven’t had issues with it. Suction hasn’t failed but I did wrap the perch with vet wrap to give my Grey a bit more traction on the wet perch.

Suction cups could be better. Me perch fell after about a week and I only have two parakeets. I’ve remounted it but the longest it’s stayed is 2-3 weeks before falling

I bought 3 of these. They work very well and are sturdy, unless your parrot chews on the suction cups and falls to the floor with it.

It is stable the suction cups are very good but the perch itself,it is so slippery for my bird that when he flaps his wings and having fun he EASILY looses balance guess I'm back to the spray bottle it would be a amazing shower perch if it had a less slippery texture a couple times he has fell off when he opens his wings

The only reason I took a star off, is because the bottom nut on the mobile part of the perch has rusted a bit, but it isn't a big deal, because my birds never go down there. Perhaps switch to a water-treated nut? I also use this in the window so my birds can get some sunlight during the day. Beyond that, it's very well made, and simple, but I would only recommend for small to medium birds, from budgies to cockatiels in size on it. Very versatile, and sticks to any smooth surface in your home. I really like how it folds out of the way for other people to shower in the house.

My green cheek conure loved this perch when it first arrived. We were using it In the shower on a clean, smooth tiled wall. Within a few weeks of use, the suction cups began letting go, a few times while my bird was perched on it. She’s now terrified of it, quite understandably, and this perch is sadly no longer in use. I’m highly disappointed that for the cost of this perch it does not come with higher quality suction cups that last
