Very durable
I got this to help me drive after shoulder cuff surgery. Seven months later my shoulder is much better, and I'm still using the knob a lot. Only problem is it no longer folds out of the way. There's a pin that runs along the axis of the knob between the button in the knob and the pivot joint. You press the button which moves the pin which presses on the mechanism that unlocks the pivot joint which allows you to pivot the knob out of the way. On mine after about 5 months, the pin fell out so now the button doesn't do anything. Luckily the pivot joint is locked in the position where I can still use the knob, and it's still just as durable. The pin is needed only when folding the knob out of the way and back again. The pin is not needed for spinning the knob; there are ball bearings for that. (If instead I were unlucky enough that the knob was locked in the folded away position, I would have to take the knob apart to some how try and fix it, or just throw it away.)If the fold-away feature is important to you, keep in mind that it does not fold ENTIRELY out of the way. Your hands may still need to grab onto the steering wheel where the strap is attached, and the knob itself juts out a fraction of an inch. If you're still okay with that, you may need to figure out some way to maintain the button/pivot mechanism so that the pin doesn't stick and/or fall out.It was a little harder to install than I was expecting, but no harder than any other knob would have been. Just take your time and do it right the first time, and it will stay in place a long time. My steering wheel is already fairly thick so I didn't need any of the spacers. I installed mine at about the 10 o'clock position.

Works great for me
I had a "spinner" on my first car in 1963 and loved it. Haven't used one since 1967 and had heard over the years that they were illegal in some states. That is probably not true now, but I don't know. Anyway, as I've aged I've developed some arthritis is the shoulders and sometimes sharp turns of the wheel cause too much discomfort, so I went looking for one of these. One of the best features for installation is that it installs with a socket wrench, not a screw like some, which would be harder to get a really tight fit. I installed it on a Toyota with the thinnest of the rubber spacers and it tightened down very snugly with no slippage whatsoever. I liked the feature of being able to fold it down when not needed or when leaving the vehicle at the shop or with a young valet who may never have used one and might get careless and reckless--not that they are really dangerous, but if you've never used one you should get the feel for it before trying any "fancy" wheeling! (in my opinion). WARNING: the package/directions are in Japanese. I don't read Japanese, but I learned to curse in it with this installation. JUST KIDDING!! The installation is so easy a CAVEMAN could install it. (My wife might say a caveman did install it.) The knob folds down easily with a push of the button and snaps back up without the button and locks in place. There is a slight looseness and slack in the fittings (the fold down/up action, not looseness of the grip on the wheel) that is a little disconcerting, but I don't believe it presents any problem at all. It spins on ball bearings I guess, because it is extremely smooth. I use it primarily when parking or backing out of a parking space or rounding corners, and it takes very little effort to make sharp turns compared to using the steering wheel. It saves my shoulder from pain and discomfort in these situations. This one costs a little more than some but is well worth it.

What I love & What I don’t... PLEASE KEEP READING
Love the versatility of this steering knob. Ive owned an 8 Ball steering knob before this one and it was the same size an 8 Ball. So it was round, comfortable and nice to grip.Comparing this more flat, rubber grip, and sleek style knob to my previous one. I love how it looks natural on my steering wheel. It has the ability to fold out of the way. It’s a very attractive design.I would say 1 minor downside in my experience, and it could be dependent on the size of my hand or steering wheel configuration, but my fingers do make contact with the steering wheel as I make turns if I’m not careful with my grip. Which can be dangerous.Otherwise great product.Use caution when installing. Don’t under or over tighten onto steering wheel. At a certain point of over tightened it may cause a groove on your steering wheel where it was attached.USE WITH CAUTION AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Great for long drive
Product made in Korea. I use it for 2017 RAV4. Because its armrests are far back from where I want to put my elbows, it was hard for me to drive long distances. Thankfully this products really works well for me, it allows me to control the steering while I put my elbow. First I was using it with the wheel set inside the steering, but once I changed it to set outside, it became even easier to control with bigger turning radius. One tip for buyers, you really should put some grease into its folding mechanism because if you frequently use it the brass pin wears out quickly. Grease makes it feel better too.If there's a product just like this but with more precise mechanism with no play, I'd be happy to buy it.

Lasts about 6 months before it falls apart.
I love this knob I just wish they would make it out of metal instead of cheap plastic. I have owned 3 of these and they last about 6 months then you have to replace it. A fixed knob would never be a problem but these folding ones are nice if you share the steering wheel with someone who doesn't like using the knob.

Wanna Drive Your Riding Mower Like Richard Petty?!?
Got this for my Cub Cadet Riding Mower and will never not have one of these again! Takes some getting used to, but it really empowers my 16-inch turning radius and alleviates arthritis pain after two shoulder surgeries. Love the Locking Feature, which can get stuck, but is easily resolved with WD40, as I now my leaves in Autumn and it get super dusty. Just use the provided spacer mats and you'll be going donuts and figure-8's like Tonia Harding after a hard night of drinking!
