These are amazing for post hysterectomy! They do look freakishly large and like they would be uncomfortable but they are not. The mix that provides the cooling stays liquidy and helps the pad conform to your body. They don't seem like they get very cold as you handle them but they are the perfect temperature for the area, a normal ice pack would be too cold and require something thick to wrap around. The pad is soft and similar material to any other menstrual pad, the adhesive strip works much better than any I've encountered on a menstrual pad. The first time you sit after putting one of these on feels weird at first but I found that sitting right away helped it conform to my body perfectly. Walking around while wearing one of these made moving around so much easier and helped the swelling reduce so much quicker. These stayed in place while walking, sitting, laying down, and while shifting and semi-wiggling to get up. These really have been a life saver during my recovery. I had started to regret buying them a week or so before my surgery, thinking I wouldn't need them and it would be a waste of money but I am so so SO glad I had these on hand.

I am very pleased with these. They were so long and the perfect fit for recovering post partum! I used this along with the cooling pads and it was a lifesaver. They soothe and leave you feeling refreshed.

I got this after I used the circular pads they give you from the hospital where you have to use 2-3. This one fits the entire length and you only need one. If you have vaginal birth it’s a life saver, texture is good and it instantly cools me down. Also I don’t need to switch pads as much since it absorbs a lot of the discharge. I must have gone through 5-6 bags in the weeks following post partum.

Hated the tucks cooling pads and the hospital version I got — they would dry out and crinkle up. At best, it’d be a mild nuisance that would follow out immediately when changing my padsicle and, at worst, it’d cause pain and irritation because it felt like crinkled tissue paper down there. These cooling pads are great! They’re not perfect— they do move around and shrivel a bit but they are thick and durable. They absorb blood and have a nice cooling effect that lasts longer than Tuck’s or the generic brand did. I find it best to combine it with the Frida Mom ice packs! They work well together!

These are great, so much better than stacking 2-3 of the circular witch hazel pads. Soothing, long, and the package is fairly big.
