Don’t try working from temp files from the drive itself.
Very functional storage that is easy to use. However, settings for time out time does not work. Confirmed with colleague that uses the same model. In other words, that function does not work for adjusting inactive time above 5 minutes intentionally by the manufacturer. So working on files from the drive is not advised, because it will lock itself, no matter what you set for inactive time lock, if you stop typing over 5 minutes. Instead drag the file to desktop, do the edits, then put the file back inside the encrypted drive. This is counterintuitive though, if the computer automatically saves backups to something not encrypted.

Plug and Play Data Security
I've found this product simple to use and very versatile. I can easily transfer data from a Linux or OSX machine to a Windows 7 machine with ease. Since no software is required, I am sure it is compatible with every operating system out there. With the added security feature like the self destruct mode, I can feel confident that my data is safe if the drive should fall into the wrong hands.
