Works a treat
If submerged in water just below the outlet spout, it shoots about 4" of water straight up into the air. If the outlet is itself submerged then I get about 2-3" of water above the surface. I am really pleased with these pumps and the longevity of them so far. They run off any universal USB power supply just fine. I wish I'd known about these earlier. I had a table display that the pump died and was eventually the whole unit discarded. This would have been a perfect replacement for that pump. No issues or faults with them thus far. Good price too. I found if I need to clean them, I simply run them under a hot water tap (with the pump turned OFF) and allow the water pressure to do the rest. First let the water from the tap shoot directly into the inlet for a few seconds and then let it shoot directly into the outlet for a few seconds. You can actually remove the plastic screen over the inlet. Not sure if it is designed to be removed but I got it off and it clipped quite firmly back on. So cleaning is really easy without removing the filter anyway.

It works. very little to no noise on the one I got.
Not the most powerful water pump but it is a low powered water pump. I put it in a cooler to make a water to air cooler with a coil. It works and pumps water up and through the coil with no issues. At first it would not pump water out of the coil with the lid up. When I lowered the lid, the water started coming out. I ran it for 2.5 hours with no issues with the pump. Takes all of 1.2 watts to operate, as soon as you plug it in it starts up. I cannot hear any noise from it at all. To tell that it was running I touched it and felt it vibrating. I put a usb tester on it to find out how much power it draws. 5.1 to 5.2 volts at 0.21 to 0.22 amps. About 1.2 watts. Not enough to register on the display of the power bank I used.

Works fine in my Catit Fountain
I ordered this pump when the original on my Catit fountain died after less than a year. Buying a replacement pump from Catit cost almost as much as a new fountain, which was ridiculous. I took a chance and went with this and it's been working great for the last 2+ months for far less money. Updated: Downgrading by 1* because this pump just died. It's been getting louder and louder, even though I clean it once a week and keep the water full. I cleaned it today and it won't turn back on. So it lasted 5 months. :( At this point, I'm ready to toss the whole fountain, except I just ordered another 6 filters. So I'll order another pump and see if the filters or motor come to an end first.

Easy to use, and the cats appreciate that the water 'moves', instead of just sitting in a bowl.
These little pumps power the cats' water fountains. Two cats, with a fountain each, and I change the water on a monthly schedule; but I found Malibu particularly was upset while her fountain was being washed (she does drink lots) so I bought two more fountains: that way I can get a clean replacement for each cat, then take the 'old water' fountains to be washed. The pumps are reliable, easy to change, and perform well. The design is a good one: the pump pushes the water up the 'tube' of the fountain to flow across the curved top; the fountain design includes a flower-petal insert for the tube, but both these cats seem to prefer that not be used ... they just like the water to trickle across the flat top. The pumps are a simple design, easy to take apart to rinse the inside. I'm VERY glad I found this type of fountain for them - and the water doesn't spill out; also, the cats can't tip it over (or maybe they just haven't tried?! :D ). Amazing such a small item could push that much water up an 8" tube.

Gets the job done
Got this as a replacement for my npet water fountain I just have the round clear one that's small enough to sit on my bathroom sink which is where my cat loves to go drink her water It's a good price for what it is. I'll shamefully admit that that's not a part that I clean very often at all and sometimes it does go below the water line and struggles a bit and eventually it burns out. Easy enough to just get a new clean one swap it out and good to go again. If it's perfect start it up immediately relatively quiet I don't really notice it plus I don't mind a little bit of ambient noise I don't really hear it and it does what I needed to do and it's cheap enough to replace when it fails

Dead Pump / 1 month viability - cheaply made crap
Really horrible company and horrible quality pumps. These are disposable and will work for about 1 month before dieing out. If you buy for the blue led light only though it will work for months and months.

It's pretty noisy. Gets the job done otherwise though.
I got this to be a really low power pump that could run from a USB power bank. I was more concerned with power efficiency than GPM and in that respect I was actually pleasantly surprised that it output more than I really expected it to. Having a USB plug already on it can be a convenience for those, like myself, who plan to use it for USB, however given that it's intended to accept a wide range of voltages that could actually be a disadvantage to those who have to cut the cable and splice in another connector or something. It might have been nice if it had a standard coaxial connector with a USB-to-coaxial plug to go with it -- though this might have increased the cost (and a key factor of this one is definitely its low cost.) It really just comes down to how you intend to use it and whether or not you mind a bit of splicing and/or soldering if you don't want to use the USB connector. My only real complaint is that while it can run fairly quietly at times, most of the time it really makes quite a bit of noise. I have done everything within my power to get all air bubbles and etc out and the water is well filtered with no real contaminants, so it should be running smoothly and quietly, but no matter what I do most of the time it makes a fair bit of noise. Not the usual sort of rumble you get either, but almost a sort of grinding (not like metal on metal or otherwise a sound of something tearing up, just a sound like it just doesn't run evenly or something.) It's not loud enough if you aren't close to be more than a minor annoyance, but it is a constant annoyance. For the purpose I got this it will be fine, but it is something to bear in mind.

Pumps The Water!
What I Like - A great replacement for my Catit fountain. It pushes the water up well. Easy enough to take apart and clean. A decent cost for a simple pump. What I Don’t Like - No LED light like the Catit pump to let me know it’s working.
