Replaced thermopile in Heatilator GNDC36
Fireplace kept shutting off. Confirmed thermopile was bad by reading 485mv with pilot on. Completed job in 80 minutes. You can save time by unfastening the entire mount the thermopile is secured to and pull it up into access area so you can unscrew the thermopile from mount. Pull the thermopile wire up through the silicone to remove. Reverse for install. RTV can be replaced if needed.

Works as designed
Easy replacement, and works as expected. Replaced Thermopile and thermocouple on Quadrafive 36V LP fireplace, and fit was good.

Works great on Cozy CDV255C heater
Update:On October 22, 2024, this thermopile’s life ended. It was still generating voltage but not enough to reliably keep the pilot lit. I will maintain my 5 star rating because, even though it only lasted ~3.5 years (which is still decent for $15), I believe I should not have installed this as deep into the mounting hole as I did. While removing this from my heater, I noticed that the end of the thermopile was sitting directly above the main burner and that amount of direct heat likely shortened its lifespan. Next time, I will only insert it as far as it needs to generate voltage and do my best to keep it away from the main burner. So far so good and at 1/3 the cost!I used this to replace a Q313A11465 thermopile on a Cozy CDV255C heater. The length of the wire is shorter than the original Honeywell unit but it actually makes for a much cleaner install. Also, the element itself is about 1/4” shorter but it made no difference and I did not have to adjust the pilot flame. I measured the voltage while lighting the pilot - it took just over 30 seconds to reach 200Mv which was sufficient enough to keep the pilot valve open (and I could release the knob).Last thing worth noting: the description says 3/8 fitting which is probably the accurate thread size but I can confirm that the nut itself requires a 7/16 (11mm) wrench - same as the original. The original thermopile lasted just over 12 years. If this unit lasts longer than 4 years (given the 1/3 cost), I’ll be satisfied. Hopefully it lasts another 10+ years!

Worked as it should.
Ordered and arrived very quickly. A perfect replacement for our Heat-N- Glo fire place. We noticed a bare section of wire on our original, even though it did still work. Discovered this when we were replacing the thermocouple.Hope it lasts 12 years like the original. So far..perfect~

Really let down. Ordered 2 only received 1. I keep giving this supplier a chance and they just let me down in return.
Ordered 2 of these and only recevied 2. I run a small business and something like this makes me look bad in general but also is going to make me lose money and possibly a potential very good client and a bad review because I suggested we replace 2 of these in a client's house that has 5 Fireplaces even though only one thermopile was malfunctioning it was only a matter of time because all units were installed at the same time and these two units particularly are run off a programmable thermostat on the same schedule. Was really hoping to count on IHT because I have done business with them and had a very large account for over 10 years with them when owned my very large business in a different city. I actually suggested we stop dealint with IHT directly after expierencing much worse problems a 3 years ago because if things like this. But 3 years ago they didn't ship me 2 out of 4 fireplaces on a purchase order due to a data entry error.

We have fire!
Forgot to take pictures. The story; our propane fireplace wouldn't turn on. The pilot light was on but the burner wouldn't ignite. Called the gas company, they came and cleaned the fireplace and said it was the wall switch, call the electrician. Called the electrician. He said the wall switch was fine, it might be a sensor, call the HVAC people. Called the HVAC people, they came out and did our fall service and said everything was working but we don't work on gas fireplaces, call the gas people. So we've paid lots of money to "professionals" and still don't have a working fireplace. Google, Youtube and Amazon to the rescue. Found the problem and solution. I now know how to work on a gas fireplace. A $14.00 thermopile and video tutorial we have a cozy fire again.
