Simple and worth it.
I rarely write reviews, but it's worth giving this small tool a five star. While I know how to cut dovetails, it had been a while. My first effort (the walnut scrap) used a japanese dozuki (dovetail saw) and the joints were marked out by hand. It has plenty of gaps and not so straight saw lines. On the plywood scrap, I used the Woodraphic to lay out the joints and guide a ryoba (japanese hand saw without the spine stiffener) to make the saw cuts. Works exactly as advertised. If you make sure the jig rests flat against the workpiece, the saw lines are dead straight and at a repetitive angle. While I suppose I could build something similar with wood, a magnet, and some slippery tape, a quick attempt at a hand-cut and chopped through-dovetails is made fairly easy using this tool (see attached photos of the joint in plywood). While a "hand-cut" look can be somewhat replicated by machine, this jig made the process reasonably quick and easy by hand. Rarely are tools so effective out of the box!

Works and easy to use, good quality
Did my first dovetail box with this guide and it really helps the cutting process. My thumb is a bit tiring keep holding and pinching it towards the board after so many cuts though.

Nice gauge...
I've used this angle gauge several times and find it very useful! It could be improved if the proper angle for both tails and pins were marked on the gauge so it was clear which side to use for each application. I really like the magnetic feature that keeps the saw aligned to the guide! No directions/instructions in the box, would be a good idea to include them.

Accurate, easy to use guide
I've used countless methods for cutting dovetails, homemade jigs, shop-made pullsaw guides (much like this product), router table jigs and sleds, both cheap (Harbor Freight) and expensive (Leigh D4R) router jigs, you name it. None of which, including the highly priced and exceptional Leigh jig can touch this awesome saw guide IMO. So easy to use, with high repeatability and accuracy. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who's interested in giving handcut dovetails a go. It has helped me tremendously. Pictures are of my first inlaid dovetails, made using only my Suizan pullsaw (another amazing product btw!), and this saw guide. But this product, you truly won't regret it.

Disappointed
The magnet was not very strong. I found my saw, at times, pulling away from the guide resulting in the cut not being straight. I could cut just as accurate by hand without the guide. I bought it to allow me to cut the joint with more accuracy thus resulting in a better joint with no gaps. I am right handed and it was problematic figuring out the best way to cut the opposite cut. It would have helped to have some instructions. I purchased the guide because my saw only had 1.5" between the teeth and the saw's back and this guide would accommodate my saw. I also found it a bit tricky at first to figure out how to place the guide on my stock.

Works great, well built and sturdy.
They work great and I'd recommend to any woodworker, especially hand tool users.

Excellent when used correctly.
I have the old design that looks like a parallelogram rather than a keystone. I wish I had this one because the old one does not work as well on the left side of the pin board. It’s not a problem on the tails board. Otherwise it’s great. I find the best way to use it is with a light touch on the saw. Just let the jig find the angle. The powerful magnets will hold the saw in place, Don’t try to guide the saw yourself. Some people complain the saw cuts into the plastic but I suspect they are using either a saw with too much kerf or they are placing the slick magnetic part below the saws cutting part. Keep the magnetic guide on top of the work where the cutting edge of the saw won’t bite into it. You want a thin dovetail saw with minimal kerf and a stiff back. When used correctly this guide does a fantastic job.
