I bought this mat because I wanted to create a luxurious spa atmosphere in my bathroom and loved the idea of a wooden mat. I gave this mat two stars because it looks nice in person and was the perfect width for my shower entrance. However, I should've saved myself the money and never should've bought this mat.The major drawbacks are that this mat was not designed to absorb water, it's uncomfortable, and it stinks. If you look closely at the design, there's a small gap between each small block of teak. That means water can bypass the mat and collect on your floor, unless you mop the water up after every time someone takes a shower or bath. Also, unsurprisingly, standing on a wooden mat wasn't the most comfortable experience. Those two factors were annoying enough but the straw that broke the camel's back was the smell!When I first received the mat, I didn't notice a particularly strong smell. As the days wore on, I began to smell this mildwey scent everytime I was in or near the bathroom. I finally pinpointed the culprit and washed and dried the mat a few times to eliminate the smell. I even sprayed febreeze on the mat (don't judge me lol) but nothing worked.Finally, I gave up and threw away the mat. Getting rid of that mildew scent was the happiest day of my life and I finally got a nice cloth mat elsewhere.

I ordered this teak mat because I needed a “non-slip” mat and I wanted something better looking than a rubber mat. Unfortunately the non-slip pads on the bottom are not non-slip at all, I was surprised that they were a slick hard rubber type material. I put it on my tile floor to test it and it slid pretty easily. I don’t recommend this mat if you intended to use it on a floor that does not have a rough texture.

My husband bought this. I'm not really impressed. It looks attractive but that is about it.I find the surface a little slippery to step onto after getting out of the shower.I think a towel or cloth bath mat would have been a far better route, not to mention far less expensive.I think the price is ridiculous, but my husband seems to like it.

I had another brand of bamboo mat before but it constantly moved when I moved in the shower.This one stays still but remember to clean it after showering.

the no slip pads slip a little, otherwise, this is a great mat. i accidentally ordered 2 of them and decided to keep the 2nd because i like them so much.

Used multiple folding teak bath mats in large shower. Much better traction over ceramic tiles for older adults. Water is retained under mats but they are easy to pick up and stand up to allow water to drain.

I love that it's non-slippery for my feet, raised from the tiles by little rubber pads that keep it from moving, molds itself to the odd shape of my shower, and looks super-awesome.

This was the perfect addition to my bathroom remodel. I never liked cloth bathmats on the floor and this is not only functional it’s beautiful! If I can only find a trashcan for the bathroom the project will be finished!
