Choosing the right hydro system can be quite a daunting task, especially when there are a myriad of different systems on the market, all claiming to be the best thing since sliced bread, and with wild prices that range from $25>>> all the way up to break the bank! I am so happy that I took my time searching for the right hydroponics system, and I chose this one. Let me start with a few basics because the product description does not do it justice. First this 8 net-cup system is small, it is designed to work well within any sized grow tent/room. The basic overall dimensions are 18" Long x 10.5" wide x 9" tall. What's included: A tank/lid system with a water manifold top feed delivery system, (8) 2" net pots, (1) submersible pump (flow rate is adjustable), (1) dual outlet air pump (air output is adjustable), (2) large air stones, (2) air lines, (1) 24hour timer, (1) ball-valve drain tube assembly, and a printed instruction manual. Total set-up time was 10-15 minutes (which included unboxing).The tank system can easily handle approximately 4 gallons of water/nutrient solution, however, I like to only use 2 gallons for economical purposes. Like many other systems the heart of this is the deep water culture feature, this unit not only performs that function, it also provides a top oxygenated/nutrient rich feeding. The top feeding can easily be controlled by the supplied timer so that you do not have to always tend to your plants as you wait for the roots to reach the water. I like to use rockwool and leca clay (hydroton), so this system will require about 1 pound of leca and (8) rockwool cubes/plugs. Another added benefit: This unit is very comfortable to lift up and move around @ 2 gallons. It might be a little challenging @ 4 gallons to someone with arthritis?Shipping and handling: I ordered (2) systems, they were both packaged extremely well, and they were Q.C.'d prior to shipping. I contacted the sales department with a question about the long shipping lead times, and they contacted me right away, they assured me that these units ship out in only a couple of days. as a Deep water culture system this thing is a great unit,perfect for small plants

Fittings aren’t tight, it’s difficult to connect and position lines and pumps despite the engineering. Lid can be a PITA to get on and off. Leaks like a sieve. I’d recommend to find another system as I’ll have to re-pipe this one for tighter fittings.

I used this with my gorilla grow tent under 3 450 watt led lights. And have since gotten the 16 tray system to use along with this one, and this has got to be one of the best hydro systems on the market. Beautiful plants and strong healthy roots. This product is worth the money 10 fold.
