While yes, there is less stuffing in the Slim, it's also because it is smaller (hence the price difference). **Q: Can you empty it and wash it?** A: Have not had a need to wash ours. They are very sturdy and we have the navy blue. I spray them with Lysol periodically. When I needed to clean, I suggest you use lukewarm water and a mild soap. Wipe it and allow to dry. **Q: Outdoor use ?** A: I wouldn't bother with this... It's over priced... The shape makes it flat most of the time... It shows water marks so if you used it outside it would always look dirty. **Q: Did yours get Mildew?** A: No it didn't get mildew.
