Once I learned a twin XL is 1/2 the king size bed, the hunt was on. My husband likes a rock hard bed. I do not. This is the perfect solution. I love getting into my bed now. Super soft but not too soft. This mattress topper is heaven.Let oks a little funny having one side of the bed higher than the other but oh well.

We recently purchased a firm mattress and was instantly regretting it. Sleeping on it a full night was a lot different than the 3 minute test in the store... of course it helped my husband's back which is why we got a firm mattress, but at the cost of our comfort I was not a happy camper. So I did my homework on what type of topper to use that would help the situation taking into consideration sleeping positions, size, etc. I researched many types of pads, down, down-alternative, foam, memory foam, etc. and decided to try a down alternative topper first. Then I did copious amounts of research to find the best reviews and price and finally decided on the LUCID 3 Inch High Plush Down Alternative Fiber Bed Topper, I took it out of the box and let it air out overnight before using it (only a slight odor, but probably wouldn't have been noticed with sheets over it). When I put it on the bed, I was happy to see that the fitted sheet did not flatten it out, but was still able to secure it (the bands on the topper also helped secure it to the mattress). The first night we slept on it was like heaven. It gave us the soft plushness we were missing on our new firm mattress and did not bunch up or flatten down in any areas like other products I reviewed. I've been sleeping on it for about 3 weeks now and when I change the sheets I pop it off and shake it out just to redistribute the areas that do take most of our weight and it's still just as super comfortable and plush. It also stays in place, and when I make the bed, you cannot tell there is any kind of topper on it.. it just looks soft and plushy, but still neat underneath our comforter. I also have not noticed any difference in temperature, and I tend to be a pretty hot sleeper and was concerned it might hold in more heat, but it seems to breathe well. Overall, this is an excellent topper for our needs and I look forward to getting into my bed every night because of it!

We bought this in king size for our new mattress, which is flippable and so it doesn't have a pillow top. We both sleep hot, and after a TON of research we decided to buy this alternative down pillow topper instead of a memory foam topper. It's still really warm. I even have a "cooling gel" waterproof mattress pad over the top of the Lucid topper and it's still hot. It is, however, sssoooo comfy, soft, and fluffy. It's a solid 3" gusset, so it does add to the height of the mattress. I did not wash it before first use, and I'm worried about washing it after reading all the reviews. But the pictures I've added are all after three weeks of use (except the last one, that was first use), when we washed the sheets, flipped the mattress, and fluffed the Lucid topper back up. It does smoosh down where your body lies, but it also puffed back up pretty well after refluffing. Bottom line is that I would recommend this topper if you want a plush, warm, snuggly mattress topper that makes you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel. It might not work for you if you sleep hot, don't want to spend the time refluffing it, or if you want something to keep it's shape over a longer period of time. If, when I wash it, it ruins the topper, I'll def be back to update this review.

First time purchasing a mattress topper for my beautyrest firm mattress which is a little too firm. This topper is heaven. My sleep is much improved! Have used it for a few weeks so don’t know about longevity or washing but seems very well made and fluffs back up each day. I’m happy.

We have an inexpensive mattress in one of our spare bedrooms. The room is only used once or twice a year. This mattress topper is the perfect solution. The bed is comfortable and I didn’t have to buy a different (more expensive!) mattress.

I have a mixed response to my experience. The quality is good, but it has an uneven feeling when you lay down. It sinks in the middle and is too high where you lay your head on the pillow. I turned it around after sleeping on it for a while but it still sunk in the middle. Had to return.

I researched then bought two Lucid 3 mattress toppers. One for a King bed and one for a full. They arrived in a timely manner. I am usually skeptical of a topper because I have had several over the years I have tried and returned. This topper made tge grade: A for adding some softness to a firm bed and A for adding softness without sinking to a full bed where we thought about replacing but need to decide if we want another full or bump to a queen(and find a good deal on a good mattress).Very please with the level of support. The compartments of alternative down do not slide out of place because of the construction and individual compartments. No odor upon opening the packaging. Easy to fluff and does not remain compressed. The sleep center websites stated a 3 inch topper and they were right. Anything less really isn’t worth it. This is the one for us, and it provides whole body support. Aches and pains subside, pressure points are minimized if not gone. We feel like we get to sleep cozy and comfy, not hot to sleep on either!

I can’t deal with firm beds, this topper saved me $$$, no need to buy a new mattress for now. It has memory foam and like a fluffy feel, it’s real good, I sleep well. I can’t deal with beds that don’t give when I turn especially on my shoulders and this bed helps with that! It stays in place once you put the corner straps under your mattress. I didn’t smell anything weird like some say, no regrets would def buy again.

Wow! I'm voting this my best purchase! Super sft and comfortable. I like a medium firm bed but due to recent health issues I need softer. I took a gamble and purchased this without first touching and wow its great! I've owned it for over 6 months now and I'm still incredibly happy with it. It changed my sleep for the better immediately. Great quality great value!!!!! Ps I'm not a lover of memory foam that is why I chose this one

Best comforter I’ve ever tried!!! If you’re not a fan of memory foam but looking for something with the comfort level of about 1inch memory foam, this is for you! If you’re like me, I actually thought it’d be more plush than it actually is based on the comments and description however it is the most plush non-memory foam comforter I’ve tried. It’s great if you have a firm-medium mattress and you want a little extra padding. And it stays on the mattress really well! Keep in mind every month it’s good to fluff out. Which is easy todo when it’s laundry day. Also I clean it with a steamer about every 6 months to keep it fresh. Overall really good quality, lasting and easy to maintain product!!

Was looking forward to this arriving!I've been sleeping on it for about 2-3 weeks now, and wow! I look forward to going to bed each night and dread having to get out. It's incredibly comfortable and I've even noticed my back pain has disappeared.I was a bit skeptical when I first pulled it from the box. It was super puffy and looked awesome, but it was about 6 inches to narrow and 3 inches to short when I layed it on my king mattress. But once I pulled the straps under the mattress to hold it in place it stretched out nicely and fit great. My mattress protector and fitted sheet fit very nicely over top.I haven't yet had to re-poof it yet as mentioned in other reviews.I recommend this to everyone who asks!So comfy.
