I wish this were just included with the ladder, but understand why
I was using a towel slung over the top so the ladder wouldn't mark up a freshly painted wall. But strapping the towel to the top was cumbersome. I was happy to find this rung cover not only replaced my cumbersome make-shift solution, but its nice and tacky so it actually improves the stability and safety of the ladder. I noticed right off, with the silicon cover, the ladder immediately felt more stable since the top had some frictional resistance to lateral movement.I'd say I wish this were just included with the ladder--but I'm guessing they are competing with too many poorly made knock-off copies of extendable ladders.

Must-Have Ladder Accessory
This product is a must-have for anyone using the Xtend telescoping ladders. It fits great, is made of a soft, non-scuffing material, adds stability by minimizing or eliminating slippage on the wall, and eliminates marking up the wall during use. A great accessory!

Brilliant product that fits off-brand telescoping ladders
This is a great product. It fit on the the Ohuhu telescoping ladder we bought on Amazon. The silicone is flexible and easily fits around the top rung of the ladder. It's not a tight fit on the Ohuhu and I didn't have any difficulty putting it over the top rung. I imagine you could stretch this a lot more to fit on any telescoping ladder.

works, but way overpriced
not much to say, it does what it's supposed to do - protect your walls, stay put and out of the way. It's just way over priced for what it is. they should just include it when you buy the ladder. but hey, just like the airlines, there's an extra fee for everything that's still essential.

Fits well & prevents scratches to surfaces
Not sure I really needed this item as I have adobe walls rather than painted walls but anything that helps protect my home is a bonus. It fits snugly and is very thick, durable rubber.
