Abilene Men's Sage by Boot Zipper Short

I ordered these boots for my husband. I wasn't sure if he would like them or if they would fit. He only wears boots occasionally since some boots are uncomfortable to stand and walk in for long periods of time. I was impressed when I opened these. The Abilene Short Boot is nice looking and well made. I sized up a half size so my husband could put his shoe insert in to make them even more comfortable. They were a perfect fit and he really likes them and says they are not only comfortable to wear but easy to get on and off. Big Hit! I bought them to give him as a Christmas present, however, I didn't know if they would fit so he had a early Christmas present.

I tried to exchange them for the correct size that I needed and was told that they had gone up in price since my purchase and you would not do an even exchange. I would have to pay around $60 more for the correct size. I refused to do this.

These boots are great overall. The leather upper is supple yet supportive. The toe box is roomy. The sole really provides excellent support. The only drawback is the sizing. If you usually wear 12EE or 13M, depending on the manufacturer, you need to get a 13EE. All boot manufacturers have their own proprietary sizing so use the prime wardrobe feature with these and keep the pair that works.

I was searching for a good pair of boots due to foot issues. I have ankle injuries that make it hard to get regular boots on and off. It is also hard to find zippered cowboy boots that really look the part. These work perfectly. The walk in them is quite comfortable and there appears to be a soft inside neoprene lining around the ankle and lower part of the leg. The sole seems to be a durable rubber with a non-slip tread. All in all, perfect for my need. FYI, they also take an awesome shine

Nice boot sorry I had to return but the size I ordered was to loose. I normally wear 10.5 w in a casual shoe so that is what I ordered but even wearing a heavy sock I had to much slop and excess toe room, reordered a 10 D and got a perfect fit.
