Positive Leadership-The Game Changer at Work
If you are or want to be a leader that people actually want to be around, want to follow, and want to feel believed in, put this book on the top of your list. It is not just a book to read, it is a book to do. And it is a book to do from now through the rest of your life.Fair warning--this puts your emotional intelligence, behaviors, attitudes on the line, and challenges you to know yourself and correct yourself no matter what cards you have been dealt or what circumstances you face. Steve makes it clear that if you want to be a leader and have the responsibility to lead others and have authority over others, you have the ability to create a positive culture and experience, or a destructive, demoralizing culture and experience. He lays out a framework that puts the work of positivity squarely on each of our shoulders, and uses the best of the best research available today, particularly in neuroscience and the brain, to lay out a roadmap for personal leadership development.Really, if you want to be a great leader, what could be more important than knowing what truly works and how to make it work? Steve connects the dots using the best minds, knowledge, experiments and examples on human behavior and leadership, making many layers of complexity relatively easy to understand. Then he gives you a roadmap of what to do and how to do it, showing you how to build a positive inner and outer life, building blocks for positive leadership. And, besides the great framework, he tells a captivating and instructive story to reinforce what he is teaching us to know and learn.

Nice overview of positivity
This is a great summary of positivity research. The contents are inspirational and worthwhile for leaders and everyone else whoโd like to uplift their workplace. Steve Gladis collected wonderful positive leadership research with some amazing outcomes.Treacherous thing about this topic: it looks simple but to practice this consistently requires work.... Itโs easier said than done. Positive leadership, random acts of kindness, and keeping a gratitude journal may seem "overly positive" - which may evoke reactions from pessimists or cynics who think youโre a naive idealist, or worse. But that has nothing to do with the book - it simply illustrates how much development is needed in our organizations, and how many people have lost hope. The second part of the book is fiction, a leadership fable. It seems a bit childish to me - but I don't like this kind of fables because they are larger than life, and not nuanced enough because they have to illustrate the point. They pretend to be fiction - but disappoint me because theyโre not. I prefer to read the nonfiction part. But the story may be illustrative to others who have a different learning style.Check out this book if you want to inspire yourself with positive leadership and if you're ready to change the game at work! Let's develop our workplaces and the world.

Positively Informative
This is a very interesting and informative book. I look forward to implementing the lessons at my office. The approach of teaching material like a textbook and then again later as a novel was refreshing and helpful.
