Saving the World: A Maximum Ride Novel (Book 3)

Great Fate of the World Deal
This book, to start off, is the best book I have ever read. It has a very good plot, coming from the buildup of the previous books before it. It seems to be in the climax area of the whole plot altogether. What happens is the flock finally figures out all about the main villains, Itex. They Just escaped from one of their facilities when Max and Fang, the flock's most important two members, start getting arguments. Max thought that they had to save the world from Itex, while Fang wanted to just let the world end so there wouldn’t be anything to worry about anymore. The arguments get so out of hand, that the flock splits into two! So Max, Nudge, Angel,Total, and even Ari start saving the world their own way, while Fang, The Gasman, and Iggy Go their own way to save the world. Both of their methods actually worked in the end, ironically. At the end there's your typical happy ending. I don't want to give away too much of what happens but that is the amazing plot of this amazing book. The second thing is that this book, like the series, doesn't follow along with the natural nature of twists. You would think that there would be your normal period of confusion that sparks your interest in the book, then it would end before another confusing twist occurs, right? Wrong. In this book none of that happens. They will give you a beginning twist, but what they do is they add ANOTHER twist to EXTEND the period of confusion, messing with your brain until at the end of the section or even at the end of a chapter! Other books don't do that at all. They will just explain everything right away so that the rest of the story is quite predictable. In this book, you never know what's going on, only what direction things are going in. The third and final reason I like this book is that it is written very well, using the right twists at the right times, to make you be at the edge of your seat in excitement the whole time. It's sure to make even the brightest bananas in the bunch to question about anything that happens in this book. No twist or scene will go without you saying “what the heck?”. But the action is not the only thing that makes this a great book. The humor that the characters have, even at the face of death, and the humor embedded in the book itself are hilarious in a way that really makes doing this task of saving the world look like a fun, no sweat, no risk deal. Which isn't even true! So overall I give this book five stars for having amazing character development, great humor, actually legit descriptions, and being a fun ride all the way from the beginning to the end. Which I can expect from the next book in the series too.--Onix

The Best Series in the History of Ever!!!
In this exciting story, some bird kids have to stop the evil scientists that want to Thanos snap everyone that isn’t useful. What they mean by “not useful” is anyone that has a disability, a sickness or anyone that isn’t smart. The entire series is like Max telling us a story. On the back of the first book, it says something like, “I’m risking everything to tell you this.” At certain times, Max talks to the readers directly. This first-person omniscient point of view and breaking the fourth wall is a very unique writing style that I have never seen before. I can’t put into words how much this writing style fascinates me. It's also done very well because she doesn’t talk to you often but it happens frequently enough that you can notice it. It’s like when you're telling someone a story and you pause in the middle of it to talk to them directly. My favorite character in any book I've ever read would probably be Jeb. He’s so well-written because he has unclear motives. He gets you thinking and makes you feel a little like Max in how you don’t know who you can trust because he seemingly switches sides multiple times in the story. He’s also very important to the plot even if it seems like he's almost a background character.I think this series has lots of themes. A big one is that people can change. Bad people can turn into good people and vice versa. There are also some characters where at certain times you question whose side they’re on (like Jeb). Another theme is that the people in power (I mean, people behind the scenes not the official people in power) sometimes aren’t the right people. The book’s probably also saying that you shouldn’t judge people based on their disabilities or differences. It’s similar to Wolves of Beyond and Warrior Cats, because in all these books, the ones who are cast out of society are the same ones who save it.Readers who like action books would probably enjoy this series. Also people who are a bit above the recommended reading level would be able to fly through it and really enjoy the story. Based on reading level, good readers younger than the recommended age could still read the book, but they probably wouldn’t get as much enjoyment out of it. In terms of the content, I think the recommended age is appropriate.

Family fun
James Patterson has a way of bringing the reader along with the story. He makes you feel as though Max is talking directly to you across the table relating back her life

Excellent
This is the third book in James Patterson's brilliant "Maximum Ride" series. :-)Max and the rest of the flock continue their journey to save the world. This time they aren't fighting the Erasers, they have a new and stronger adversary called flyboys who are robots. The scientists and the Director want Max and the flock killed as they aren't perfect and are causing too many problems. Fang has started an internet blog to get all the kids of the world to help save the world from the people in white coats who are hell-bent on destroying life as everyone knows it. Their journey leads them into a trap, but with the flock split will they survive the hell that's about to happen? This novel captures you from the start; it's a fast moving adventure that keeps you turning the page. An enjoyable and compelling read, It's a book I will definitely read again and it's worth every penny. :-)I'm looking forward to the fourth book in this series being published. :-)
