Nestle After Eight, Dark Mint Thins, Large Value Pack. 3 x 300 Grams

So I don't usually write reviews anymore. But I felt like this was warranted after doing extensive research on the various options available to me for acquiring a couple of boxes of After Eights. So far I had narrowed it down to 2 sellers - one located in Ireland and the other located in California. Both had mixed reviews upon looking at their Seller Feedback. But only 1 of them seemed to offer a "Faster Shipping" option. My main concern was spending some ungodly amount of money only to have the mints turn up all melted into a gooey mess at my doorstep. I wasn't interested in attracting all the ants in the neighborhood for a disaster like that. So I ordered up 6x using the "Faster Shipping" option which was surprisingly cost-effective at $15 - $16. 2 DAYS LATER..........I get this box. I scanned the box all around outside to see if it attracted anything that was "interested" in it. Thankfully, no bugs. The box was taped up all over, very nicely sealed. I open it up and discover the dry ice in a plastic bag along with the items all wrapped in bubble wrap -10 out of 10 for keeping things safe & secure. Every single box was shrink-wrapped. I put away all the mints in the fridge except for 1 to be used for inspection purposes. And the results were astounding!! It not only survived the trip in scorching hot weather & humidity, but each mint maintained its size, color, taste, & texture!! No chocolatey fingerprints from handling it. PERFECT!!

My mother used to keep these for after dinner mints. Hadn't seen them in years when I discovered them here on Amazon -- thank you by the way. They are a refreshing mint covered in a good dark chocolate. Wonderful mouth refreshing, fun treat. Highly recommend

These After Eight's are delicious. They come from Ireland so shipping takes a bit longer, but worth the wait. They are slightly different to the ones that are exported for sale in America because they don't have some of the ingredients that are added to stabilize the chocolate in hotter climates. They did have a 'bloom' on them, a whitish skin on the backs of the chocolates only, this could be cocoa solids separating, or peppermint oil coming through from the filling, probably due to exposure to heat somewhere along the journey. This did not change the flavor, or delicate taste of the chocolates. In my opinion, these chocolates taste better than the ones I've bought in the US, less sweet, less waxy. I would buy from this seller again - great value. Thanks! (Listing says that product comes from Ireland, but shipping shows item coming from UK. That's because the item ships from County Down, which is in Northern Ireland - so lists as UK).

Just like I used to have when I was a child. My uncle used to bring these when he visited me from England and my father would allow me to have one per week so the treat spread out. Theres something about the ones manufactured and packaged in England that just tastes so much better, hard to put into words. A little long of a wait since they have to be shipped from oversees (hence the 4 star rating, I missed Christmas as they were intended for a gift) but once I got them it was clear that they were well worth the wait.

You can’t find them in the store so I ordered them online. They are the best people love them when they hand them out to them.
