Lesaffre Red Star Organic Instant Yeast - 5 Packets

I thought this yeast was dead when I went through 4 batches of 100⁰f water with the yeast added and almost nothing happened. I even showed a few pictures to ChatGPT, but it seemed as though I'd received a bad batch. I was frustrated that I'd have to look elsewhere and go through waiting for it to arrive before I could make the recipe that I had been so excited to try. I put them kid over the moving bowl of flour and salt carefully stirred, and sighed. Then I asked Google AI, and this time, I read the name of the product exactly as it was on the front of the label. As it turned out, I had not specified that it was instant dry yeast when I searched for a bread recipe, and that's why the recipe I used instructed me to mix the yeast into 100°f water and let it sit for 15 minutes. However, for INSTANT DRY YEAST, you need to add sugar or honey to the warm water before adding the yeast. I chose honey. The third packet was perfect, because I added honey to the water before adding the yeast and this time, the yeast foamed up and smelled wonderful. I'm so grateful that I'm able to share this because some of the reviews on here stating that it doesn't work, are probably from people who had a similar experience to how mine began, and they simply didn't realize that they needed to add sugar or honey. As I am writing this review, I'm peeking in the oven window in anticipation. The bread is rising perfectly and I can't wait until it has reached golden perfection. Have used this yeast for several years it is easy to use, gives my bread a great rise at a good price. Pay attention to the expiration date as its efficacy wanes closer to that date. My bread bakes perfectly with this yeast.

Only yeast I use. Has good shelf life, do note that this rises less yeast than a comparable packet of “normal” yeast. So may need to adjust some recipes but all of mine have been good.
