A fun and sassy no-nonsense invitation to the practice of astrology with easy-to-understand tools for self-development and conscious living Astrology books are typically either overly simplistic sun-sign books or overly complicated chart calculations filled with astro jargon. Astrology for Real Life goes beyond simple sun-sign interpretation and at the same time cuts through the complications of horoscope analysis to make understanding your chart in depth, simple and easy. The goal is to make astrology accessible to total newbies and provide a working reference guide for intermediates. The book is presented in workbook format exploring each part of chart interpretation—signs, planets, houses, aspects—with exercises following each chapter and fill-in-the-blank lessons that take the reader through all the just-learned steps. The tone is warm, fun, and personal, and the exercises give the reader experiential hands-on practice. The end result: once you learn the basics in Astrology for Real Life , you can easily navigate the cosmos by making them work for you. It’s kind of like a roadmap where we begin by understanding the terrain and the tools available. From there, the planets will guide you in making brave, excellent choices in love, work, and life. It’s profound, fun, and practical. You’ll learn how to interpret your chart with confidence and use astrology in a practical, proactive way, with no astro excuses (blaming the stars for your issues). This is the astrology book you are looking for.
I would give this book 100 out of 5 stars if it were possible. This is hands down the best astrology book that I have ever come across. Theresa Reed cuts through all the mystery. The book is easy to read, entertaining, and chock full of all the things you ever wanted to know, and all the things you never knew existed when it comes to astrology. By the end of the book, you have the potential of casting your own daily horoscope. The exercises included are easy, personal, and help to nail down the lessons quickly. I was really impressed by just how much I had learned even a quarter of the way through the book. I can’t praise this book enough!

Beginners and experts alike will LOVE Astrology for Real Life
I am new to astrology and became curious after watching The Tarot Lady (Theresa Reed, the author) on her Instagram. She talked about transits, the moon being in certain signs, having certain signs in "houses." It was all a bit confusing, but it was enough to get me interested. When she said she was releasing a book on Astrology, I KNEW I had to have it. I have purchased books on Astrology before, but they lacked character and were dry. If you want to feel like someone is there guiding you through Astrology in a casual, down-to-earth format, this is THE astrology book for you. I love Theresa, and she is a wonderful teacher, and I love this book. I have learned so much about astrology, and I even ordered my birth certificate so I could confirm my actual birth time (turns out, mom was right...but still!). I highly recommend this book AND I highly recommend the other books that Theresa has written (Tarot for Troubled Times and the Tarot Coloring Book) and her instagram, @thetarotlady. She does live streams on Instagram in the morning for astrology forecasts. I love it! Tangents, transits, and tarot...or Tarot, transits, and tangents? I don't remember, but it's awesome!

Greet for new learners!
I love astrology, and i often like to learn more about it! This is a great started book for new learners, it explains whats astrology and a little background on the mythology part of it; very easy to read and provides little activities to practice! I however, did not find it too helpful because i already knew most if not all the concepts described in the book, so I would not recommend to someone who is already familiar on how to birth charts and so on! Additionally, if you are a new learner, I would recommend to find other alternative pages to do your own birth chart, while it does provides you a page/link to create your own, it is not a full-on-details birth chart. I would recommend you google some "birth chart calculators" and im sure google would provide a page that provides more detailed information for freee!

A Must-Read for both new and experienced astrologers
I bought this book out of guilt. I follow the author on Facebook and, after agreeing that we should all support each other, decided to put my money where my mouth is! And I'm so glad I did. I've been studying astrology in one way or another since the I was a kid in the mid-70s. I am no newbie. I can do a really decent read of a chart, or so I thought. I'm about half-way through the second section (fundamentals) of this book, and I've already quantum-leaped forward in my understanding about charts, trends, and how to get a read. Things I've never noticed are now jumping out at me, and I'm certain it will only get better as I progress. I have a lot of charts I've done on friends and family on hand to practice, and the author's techniques work across the lot of them. I would highly recommend this book if you want to jump in and start reading charts for yourself and others. You will not be sorry to spend the money.

One of the best astrology books I've ever read
I don't consider myself an astrology newbie—I've been studying it in an ad hoc fashion for some years. Even so, I learned so much from Theresa Reed's ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE. The content is beyond comprehensive and presented in an easily accessible manner even if you don't know a lick about horoscopes. Sun signs and planets? They're all here, but ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE also delves into deeper astrological waters such as chart progressions, astroids, and chart patterns. Reed is able to offer the nitty-gritty but also pan back to put everything she's presented into context. Also, her writing is really witty, like your real life smart-as-heck girlfriend who just wants to spill the tea on everything you ever wanted to know about astrology, and then some. In summation, ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE is *the* astrology book I wish I'd had way back when. Highly recommended.

Easy to learn
Grab your favorite notebook and easily learn to read a birthchart. The information is not overwhelming. Theresa breaks down everything in tiny bites so it's easy for anyone to learn. I wish all workbooks were this easy.

If I Could Give This Book 100 Stars..
If I Could Give This Book 100 Stars...I most certainly would. Why? Because it's the book that is finally enabling me to wrap my head around how all this stuff works. It is an absolute gem. Easy and fun to read. A Beautifully written masterpiece presenting often difficult to digest concepts in well structured bite size and easily digestible format. I have a few other astrology books ranging from basic to advanced-yet I could never quite grasp the structure and picture of astrology. This book has not only bridged that gap but given me exactly what I always needed to actually ENJOY astrology. Thank you soooooo much Theresa Reed.

Brilliant astrology book
Absolute must-get for any budding astrologist, tarot reader or anyone interested in the spiritual side of life. Theresa Reed is also a legend and as far as I’m concerned what she says goes! Extremely easy to understand and useful book.

A perfect book for the beginner to intermediate astrolger
I have listened to Theresa Reed's podcast (Astrology Bytes) and had to buy the book to learn more. Out of all of the astrology books I have read, this has become my favourite and one that I return to often. I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in self-discovery through astrology. It is written in a very "pedestrian" way, meaning it is very easy to follow along and understand the tone and humour of Theresa. She offers relatable analogies as a way to simplify seemingly hard-to-understand astrology lingo and concepts.
