Works flawlessly for VX-6R
Works flawlessly. I have had issues with aftermarket chargers for my VX-6R, so I purchased this one to replace them. Charges the battery as quickly as possible (which is still slow on that particular radio), and it has lasted years now.

Charger for after market batteries
VX-7R doesn’t charge after market battery correctly. This gives them a full charge.

Quality Charger!
When I ordered this charging dock, I was expecting an inexpensive fixed-voltage charger. I'm sure you know the type. The light flickers erratically when nothing's inserted. Nope. This dock has a proper battery charger, that intelligently detects when the battery has been inserted. More valuable to me (a colorblind user!) though: When inactive, the light is off. (The smart detect feature.) When charging, the light glows red. When fully charged, the light flashes green, giving even my colorblind eyes an extremely clear indication that my battery is ready! I cannot speak for any cell-balancing features, I believe that this is handled internally by the battery pack's inboard BMS. But full charge termination voltage was right at 8.4v, with the radio's display indicating a fresh and reasonable charge. No signs of overcharge or excessive heat in either the cradle or the battery. You can fit a loose battery into the dock, or your radio - my Yaesu VX-6E fits perfectly. It also has a metal base with rubber feet, so it sits securely on your desk. You can use it with your included charging cable, but the cradle conveniently includes a power cord in the box.

Good, but with issues
The charger works, in that it charges my VX-7R (charges the batteries, not the radio itself, but you knew that). However, it's got issues. The LED is supposed to be orange while charging and green when full. Well, someone used the wrong LEDs, or is color blind, or it got lost in translation, because the orange LED is red, but ok, I can get over that. There does not appear to be a green LED at all, because the LED goes blank when it's charged (I checked with a multi meter). Also, it does not appear that you can charge a battery outside of the radio, as no light comes on at all when just the battery is in the charger. But that doesn't make sense because there's 12v DC at the charger regardless if there's a radio, a battery or nothing in the charger, so the solo battery *should* be being charged. At some point I will take a drained battery, put it in the charger alone, and test it every hour to see if it's charging. All that said, it get 3 stars because of the aggravation factor.

Works like it should
Good Charger, HT with battery or just the battery can be a tight fit but not to bad. It charges in a reasonable time. I would buy again.

Slam duck charging stand for my Yeasu handi-talkie
Works just as expected. Yaesu should be including these in the box for the price they charge. (see all the Chinese radios for comparison)

Won’t charge Yaesu batteries
Doesn’t seem to work with OEM Yaesu batteries. Light shows red momentarily then turns green and flashes 3 times. Then doesn’t charge

Works with VX-6R
I'm very happy with this purchase. Charges quickly.
