Great book for players around the grade 3 area! Fun songs to play whether you find them easy or hard. Alto version is a bit harder than the tenor version, the tenor one is written in a easier nicer key. Be prepared for up to 3 sharps (a major). Bobby is the man!

"Easy" does NOT mean easy, I got through that book for weeks playing those etudes for hundreds of times and they are still inspiring - Bob presents how to say a lot with a few notes only - inspiring book!

This is a good book for the transition from reading music to improvisation. The 1st track of each selection uses a well written solo for the intermediate player with Bob playing the tenor sax lead. The second track cuts the lead solo allowing the learning improv player to play with the band on the chord changes. This is a very good book for the player looking to start learning to improv over chord changes.

Bought for my wife who found the tunes sufficiently challenging to keep dipping into.A hit.

Perfect for saxophones

Consigliatissimo per gli amatori e non, questo libro di Mintzer è molto carino. Ovviamente c'è scritto 15 studi FACILI, ma se si eseguono con tutti gli abbellimenti, la pronuncia e le dinamiche di Bob, non sono per niente facili. Il libro è fornito di CD che per ogni brano ha 2 tracce, una dove suona Bob e una play-along dove si può suonare da soli... unica pecca che si può dire è che i brani durano poco, massimo 2 minuti, più o meno, ma dopotutto c'è scritto che sono solo esercizi, anche se sono molto orecchiabili

Dieses Heft wurde mir von meinem Saxophon-Lehrer empfohlen. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Als Anfänger lernt man damit viele sehr schöne Stücke. Es sind stilistisch sehr abwechslungsreiche Kompositionen.

Für einen Fast-Anfänger wie mich durchaus eine Herausforderung, aber man braucht ja immer ein Ziel :-) Super Songs, tolle Übungen, sehr zu empfehlen.
