This locks lock mechanism is opposite of all the other locks in my house. So when it's locked the interior switch is horizontal and when it's unlocked it's vertical. Super confusing.Also the "quick open" whatever feature they call it is sort of annoying.Also, because they handles are reversible, the interior handle is kinda loose. It gives a really low grade feel.I usually am a huge fan of Schlage locks but this one misses the mark. I wish I didn't plan ahead when I ordered it because it would be going back.

I purchased this handle to replace a builder-grade handle/lock on a garage service door. It was easy to install; has a nice design and finish and is ergonomically easy to operate.

Handle was easy to install in under 5 minutes. Overall feel of the product is heavy duty and has clean lines. I would highly recommend this product along with the matching keypad deadbolt lock.

Lock is very attractive and woks great

Did have an issue w/the fact the lock wouldn't work with the key supplied after it was installed. Finally the supplier replaced the unit. Was a bit of a hassle, but in the end I was happy.

Would have been a 5 if they were keyed alike like the 1st two I bought.

Purchased to replace the handle out to the garage in my new home, word of warning. Handle does not "lock" on the inside. Meaning that the locking mechanism will lock the outside lever, however inside lever will move and open door whether it's locked or not. I don't believe the description is clear enough, as it states the keyed function unlocks when opened from the inside (which it doesn't always do, BTW, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 turns of the inside lever to fully unlock the outside). Parents of toddlers use caution (my child is grown, so I don't have to worry about roaming toddlers anymore), however in my case, I have a goofy, sweet boxer who loves to try the door lever as soon as you shut the door behind you... I switched out knobs for levers as I have progressively worsening RA. Would not recommend using this by itself without a deadbolt for security reasons, rather than install a deadbolt on the garage door, I'll be looking for a new lever. It's a shame, as I purchased this to coordinate with the new Schlage Sense keyless deadbolt and handleset (which I LOVE), however I have already opened the garage door once to my panicked dog who managed to open the door and lock herself out of the house and remain stuck in the garage until I returned from work, and that's one too many times quite frankly. If you're going to charge $60 bucks for something, it should function normally.

the quality is on par with something that costs 2-3 times as much. we put them on all our flip homes.
