No wonder those refurbished refrigerator places make money. These were super cheap to buy and made of good quality. Was an exact fit replacement for my refrigerator and brought it back to life. Super easy to install. Fridge working great for a few months now. Booyah! Milk tastes better cold!

Bought this for Kenmore Elite Trio french door 29 cu. ft. Post receiving it realized the relay is more or less matching in quality to what Kenmore provided from factory (OEM) and which lasted +15 years but I think the cap is a little low end. The OEM CAP is heftier and has a nice build quality whereas this one looks cheap and less in weight.Anyways a quick measurement using my digital Klein multi-meter proved the OEM CAP is still fine and showed 14.95 while the CAP specs is 15 mF. Thus, I used the relay from this and put the OEM CAP and put the darn thing where it needs to go. Fit right in and the refrigerator started right up, no issues.This review is approximately after using this for 3 weeks. Value for money as even if the relay lasts 3 to 5 years, a quick replacement will still be cheaper than the OEM.

So far, so good, and super easy to install. I already had the back panel off because I'd unplugged the original part and had set aside 20 minutes to plug it in and check it but it took all of 2 minutes (90 seconds was just trying to line it up since the plug was out of site). I heard the compressor start, good news, and waited around for a bit to feel the cold air flowing. Put a bottle of water in the fridge and 1 in the freezer and went back to my day. YEP! working..Do you replace a $10 item, this Start/Stop relay, or go for the $600 compressor. Start with the cheap and easy..I expect this will last but will update my review with any good or bad that may happen.

The parts worked great

When I first opened the box, everything seemed fine. I always give items an inspection before using them. I pulled the capacitor off and found that one of the blade connectors had been curled over.I straightened the blade connector and tried to reinstall the capacitor into the relay. It would not go into the slot. At that point I opened up the relay to find that the internal connectors were curled up too tight and the thin blade connectors on the capacitor wouldn't slide in. I adjusted the internal connectors and put the relay back together.Once the part was installed, the compressor on our refrigerator fired right up and things started cooling again. Based on the other reviews I read, I can see why some of these units would fail quickly. If the blades from the capacitor aren't making good contact, then the internals could short our in no time at all.

I could hear my original relay clicking on/off a lot, so I purchased one of these. I noticed that it rattled when I shook it. There is nothing in a relay that should rattle. I ripped into the fridge, put in this one- and it switched on and off every minute or so, just like the old one, which also rattled. I rushed to the local parts store, paid $63 for an OEM one, which didn't rattle. Installed it, it works fine, no rapid on/off. I was freaking out, figuring I was going to have to spend $2000 on a new fridge, al because I thought I had saved a few dollars on this aftermarket part. I'm not going to bother asking for a refund, I'm sure they would deny or say they would replace it. Just a huge amount of stress. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

This was the correct replacement part for an Amana ARB2517C ARB2557C.The refrigerator was not cooling or freezing, but the fan and lights were fine. There was a periodic click that could be heard every few minutes as the circuit tripped.There are several videos online that demonstrate the repair process. It took a few easy minutes to swap out the part.I will update this if the part fails within the next year.

It works very well for my maytag french door fridge.

This compressor Start/Run relay and on board capacitor were easy to replace.Be careful lining up the pins of the compressor to the relay pin socket as it may be a little awkward depending on the position of the compressor on the refrigerator chassis.If you are replacing this relay to remedy your problem, take the time to clean out all dust and debris from the compressor area to improve the compressor's ventilation.

Thought I needed a new fridge when it stopped working altogether. Found and tested my starter relay and discovered it was the problem. This new one along with a new capacitor we're both installed and the fridge is back to new working order. Didn't want to buy a new fridge. Recommend.
