Purchased this for a Blue Heeler pup when she came home at 8 weeks she is now 8 months old. It's her favourite toy. The level of abuse this chicken has endured is impressive. As you can see, it has its share of damage but overall has held up well. The eyes were the first to go, followed by one foot squeaker and stuffing. The rest of the squeakers are still intact. It's our go to for redirecting her when shes getting into mischief. A squeak of a squeaker and whip it across the room and she forgets everything else. It's been washed in the washing machine 4 times so far. A good quality dog toy in my opinion. I gave 4 stars on durability and chew proof just because the eyes came off pretty easily. I would purchase again. I may have to soon.

These are an absolute favorite toy for Milo. There's a squeaker in the center and two little squeakers in each foot. The legs flop around and are perfect for whipping, thrashing, and some light tug of war. They generally hold up well at first, especially if I make sure to stop him from chewing them up. As with all toys in my house, Milo's need to defeat ALL squeakers and de-fluff the insides eventually wins out. Would love if there was a version of these with even tougher fabric. So far the only toys Milo has been unable to full chew through are the ones made of Kevlar. Overall, I recommend. We have each character and buy new ones when they're on sale. Please consider stronger fabrics like Kevlar for the future! I'd buy them all! :)

Cons- polyfil, eyes. Pros- tough, long lasting. We have 2 golden doodles (3&5 yr olds) are tough on toys, but these are nearly indestructible once the polyfil, eyes and squeakers are removed. We've ordered 4 over the years because it's proven to be their favorite. See photo of the four next to each other. The new one came in today July 14, 2024, next December 2023, next Xmas 2022, the rope is all thats left of the 1st from 2021. I hit it with lawnmower. I just ran a test and threw all 4 in a pile in front of my dogs. Funny enough, Lincoln smelled em all, and picked up the oldest one (just a rope now) and took it to his spot!

My 12 lb Yorkie mix has a 6"-8" version of this chicken I bought probably a year ago that is his favorite. I purchased this to have a second one to keep at my sister's house. Boy was I in for a surprise when I opened the package! The "small" is over a foot tall and more than twice as big as his old one. I did not expect it to be so big for such a low price! While my dog didn't immediately pick it up like the smaller one he has come to like it quite a bit and it is of the same high quality. I love goDog toys and will continue purchasing them because of how durable and cute they are. The smaller version I found out is either tiny or mini sized I found out. It has one squeaker in the body. This "small" version has a squeaker in each foot and a larger squeaker in the body. After almost 2 months of playing really intense tug of war with my young nephew the corner of one leg appears to be coming loose. This will not bother me if it comes off because it appears that it won't make a hole in the body to let stuffing out and the leg/foot it closer to the sized toy my dog usually like anyway so it will just turn into 2 toys.

When our Golden Retriever was a puppy we bought him the small version of the rooster. It was his favorite toy and it lasted for over a year (while other toys lasted maybe a month). We then upgraded to the large version. Our boy loves to tug so it did not last as long (a few months) but that is to be expected with large breeds that like to tug. I've been looking ever since to purchase a large replacement and finally found it here on goDog's amazon shop! It's a great toy. One that does not have pieces that the dog can chew off and swallow. No rope attachments - yay! So many toys these days have ropes sewing into them which can be harmful to animals (fibers can get stuck in the intestines). My only recommendation would to cut off the tags. Not sure why dog toy manufactures still sew in tags? Dogs that nip and chew will get these off in seconds and swallow them. In all, love many of the goDog products and this is our favorite.

I bought my pup one of these for Christmas and he LOVED it. he killed it pretty quickly because he's a pitbull and soft toys don't last with him, but even after she was de-stuffed and mutilated, he carried her corpse around because he loved it so much. I took her crinkly paper and squeakers out and he was still obsessed with her. She didn't last long, but she was at least good quality material. She lasted about 2 weeks before I had to throw her out - which was fine. Puppy had to get surgery this week so I bought him another to cheer him up and distract him from the e-collar, and this one is COMPLETELY different. Looks different, I'm pretty sure it's smaller, and the quality is horrible - it literally came with loose threads. The material even is completely different. The last one was thicker and stronger and way more durable. This one is ridiculously thin. He had holes ripped in it the second he had his teeth in it. There's not as much stuffing in the limbs as the last one, so while with the last one the stuffing was protecting his teeth from clashing, with this one there's no barrier. I'm not going to be able to leave him with it for more than a few minutes at a time because I don't want his teeth grinding with a thin flap of material in between. I might cut the limbs off and give him just the body - but why would I pay the same price for half the toy. I'm not initiating a return for the reason listed above - it's still cheering my dog up, and distracting him, but I'm so upset that I wasted the money on this for it to be completely different. And just in case the company doesn't have anyone looking through reviews for feedback, I am going to be emailing as well. If you buy this, I hope you get the good quality one that my pup loved so much and not this garbage I was sent today.

I originally bought the cow toy several years ago for our small dog. She's little but destroys her toys within days. This is one of the exceptions. I've included pictures of the damage to the cow. She has been used for a tug toy and a chew toy and the only damage is the little you can see in the pictures. I was so impressed I decided to purchase a couple others so I could toss some that were down to strings. I searched for godog toys and saw a horse and an elephant and purchased them immediately. In my mind they'd be about the same size as the cow. Well, I was wrong. If I'd looked at measurements I wouldn't have been so surprised when I opened the elephant. It's almost as long as my Maltese. She can't get her mouth around it. However my daughters 95 pound Staffy pit bull loves it. She destroys most toys quickly but Elly is in near perfect condition. When I make my next dog toy purchase it will be from godog. I plan to purchase gifts for family pets from godog. They're soft but sturdy and have squeakers that don't come out. It's the first toy my pup brings to me at play time and she'll chew on it in her bed. I have tried many different kinds of dog toys and these are the only ones I recommend to family, friends and total strangers looking at toys in a retail store. You will not be wasting your money on these. They are worth every penny and then some for the sturdiness and entertainment value. The only thing I'd say is to pay attention to the size. The horse is a second favorite, but I think that's because it's newer. I could not recommend any dog toy more! I truly believe they are the best toys available for dogs of any size.

My dog took to them immediately. I bought the rooster and the horse. They've got 3 squeakers I could count with 2 in the feet, which is cool. Each piece is sturdy and difficult to ream. You can feel their toughness just from random handling. However, there are a couple design flaws. First, there are parts on the rooster head that look as if they are begging to be ripped away over time. I had to take scissors to them and I don't think I should've had to do that. Same with the horse's mane and tail. They invite trouble. Secondly, the little furry(??) socks on the rooster feet come off quickly. My 6 mos old Silver Lab did this after about 3 days (see pic). Putting those there was a really dumb idea. The horse came apart. But that's kind of my fault. Let's just say it failed the tug-o-war test. Not sure these are designed for that kind of roughhousing. No, I'm positive they're not because the horse died. Just don't do that. I mean, we really put it through the ringer. All in all, I see the value in these toys but it could've been better. I totally see them being ripped up naturally eventually, but nowhere near as fast as your average plushies. And the parts that come off easily really hurt the marketing scheme. All they needed to do was be less extra. UPDATE: The rooster lasted a little over a month before my 7 mos old lab tore his brain out. To be honest, I've had dog toys not marketed as "durable" last that long. So consider that with your decision. A.

My daughter's dog is a cavoodle and he loves squeaky toys but sadly manages to kill the squeak within a couple of hours. This one has lasted all day so far so I'm very excited and he loves it.

The ONLY TOY i've bought that my dog hasn't managed to rip apart within an hour of getting. It has been over a year or so and just within the past couple months has the fabric begun to rip, but the inner layer has yet to rip and expose the white stuffing. Repurchasing a fresh one for his birthday, and just for reference he is a 6 year old shitzu.

It seems very durable
