Caffe POMPEII 7gr Espresso Coffee Pods ESE Compatible (VARIETY 3, 150 pods)

This gives more crème than any espresso I have seen before. Note sure why but its great.

The media could not be loaded.  First of all, if I could give more stars for this coffee, I would. It's even good cold. I never understood iced coffee - it's always been bitter. Not this coffee! It's delish hot or cold and in between. No more burnt Starbucks beans in this house.So, my counter was totally taken up with coffee things - Breville Espresso machine, Cuisinart coffee machine, bean grinder, and it was a mess. Coffee grounds everywhere. I decided to do something about it and that's how I found the ESE pods.I don't like plastic waste. That leaves out Keurig, plus, the coffee has never tasted very good, IMO. I had a Senseo, thought I'd bring it out again so I ordered ESE pods. The Senseo makes weak coffee so maybe tightly packed ESE pods would give me a coffee with more oomph. Coffee and degradable filter paper. Perfect. Well, the Senseo doesn't work with ESE pods. You need pressure for the pods to do their coffee magic. What do I do with 150 pods now? We youtubed and found you could use ESE pods with an espresso machine so we did and that did work but we had to run two cycles every time. But, nom, good coffee.Got a mailer with the coffee for a nifty machine - Mr. PodHead - made for pods. Well, this I had to try. Even though, it would be one more coffee machine. We got it and it worked for about 10 pulls, then it started to leak. Contacted the company and on a Sunday (yes, a Sunday) facetimed with Gianni who saw the issue and sent out a replacement immediately. Talk about customer service. The new machine is perfect. I now understand crema. Yay!Got a milk frother and we are set. Expresso, Americano, Cappucino. And, we're packing up the Breville, the Cuisinart and that awful messy grinder.Thank you epop for great coffee and Mr. PodHead! I bought 4 different Decaf ESE pods looking for one that would literally be as good as my favorite caffeinated ESE pods. While none of the pods were actually bad, the Caffe Pompeii pods easily stood out as the best. Very flavorful in either expresso or larger brews, it is simply fantastic coffee. You’ll never know it’s decaf!!

I've tried many different espresso pods for my Breville Cafe Roma and these are by far the best yet. My order came with 4 different flavors: Aetna, Circe, Polifemo and Penelope. I was pleasantly surprised to see the box also included 3 samples of Apollo 11 and 3 samples of Ulisse. All pods brew extremely well and produce lots of flavor and crema. The Apollo 11 is my favorite - it is exactly what I look for an Italian espresso. The others are excellent. I am enjoying sampling the different flavors a little too much - I haven't blinked in hours. Do yourself a favor and order these.

I travel to Europe quite frequently and was looking for a ESE pod that would capture the flavor of espresso that I get in Italy. After numerous brands, I finally found Caffe POMPEII. I always order the Penelope, Atena and Circe- all three have great flavor and produce wonderful crema. I am not a coffee snob, but I do know good espresso. Try them- you will not be disappointed. Delivery is always fast, and the owner always throws in some samples- great company.

Good flavor

This wood-roasted Caffe Pompeii is delicious - rich and frothy. I have the Circe Arabica, Penelope Espresso, and Atena Forte - and they're all great. (I think my favorite is the Atena, but I'm very happy with all three.) I also love the way the pods work in the ePop coffee/espresso brewer I got from my friend at PodHead.com. No plastic waste, everything is compostable, and the pump in the machine makes a beautiful crema, no matter which size cup I choose to brew - espresso, lungo, or Americano. This is now an important part of my daily coffee ritual. Very happy with the whole arrangement. Highly recommended!

I've had a lot of fun mixing the three flavors - I start my cappuccino with one "shot" of espresso, then two "shots" of cappuccino so I may use Atena for the espresso and Penelope for the cappuccino, or vice versa. The Arabica is also good used for the espresso. My overall favorite is Penelope. I love that there are no messy grounds, just brew and throw away the pod. Highly recommended.
