Overall, very nice for international travel!
I bought this for a trip to the UK where I was going to need internet access while in transit. I picked up a pay-as-you-go SIM card and got it up and running with very little effort. I was very pleased with the device's performance when I could get a good signal. The signal issue was not the device, it was the service provider. I've used this now in the UK, Canada, and US with different GSM providers. Here, with an AT&T SIM (borrowed from my current AT&T hotspot) I can only get 3G but I got LTE/4G in Canada and the UK. I love that this thing is unlocked and I can swap SIM cards as needed. Depending on where you go, you will need a SIM adapter because this device uses the large SIM cards. I also put a 32GB card in it, but it really doesn't do any good unless you are using the device as a USB modem because over WiFi, getting to the storage is unintuitive. I use a MacBook Air with OSX 10.10.5 and over USB it shows up like any USB storage device. I will continue to make good use of this around the world!

High quality and full featured - documentation isn't great
I purchased this product to use when I travel to Europe. In the past I've rented similar devices but they tended to lack quality and renting was expensive. I selected this one because it offers nearly universal compatibility so no matter where I go, I can purchase a local sim card and be ready to go. I particularly like the Apple and Android smartphone apps that go with it, which allow you to track data use and set both limits and alarms to keep yourself from going over or using data too quickly.I would give it five stars but I've had a couple of false starts where I had to reset the device as I was learning to use it and somehow managed to get some odd settings in place that I couldn't explain. I'm a technical person and understanding networking quite well, and at least once I ran into a strange configuration problem that made no sense at all. I decided to factory reset and start over and that cleared up the problem.

Data costs 1/20 the cost of AT&T
Data costs 1/20 the price of AT&TI travel internationally all over the world. A MIFI box is a must if you do not want to get robbed by AT&TAT&T Charges $30 for 120 MB of data for 30 days. That's enough to check email a couple of times and send a couple of picture. Forget about using Google Maps to get around or any of hundreds of useful travel apps. Phone calls $1.29 per minute. OutrageousWith this MIFI box. As soon as you land in a country you pick up a local SIM...usually available at most airports around the world because savvy US travelers never use US carriers when abroad. In my current trip to France, I got a French SIM from Orange 15β¬. Added 5GB for 6Months for 40β¬. Bottom line it cost me 1/20th (5%) as much as AT&T for a heck of a lot of data.I have used MIFI all over Europe and Asia. No issues whatsoever and so much less expensive.

What to take aboard when your phone is locked
The Huawei provides an easy way to buy a local SIM card and use it on your smart phone, tablet or computer. The Huawei converts a local cell signal into wifi which can be used by your devices. The battery life is fairly good - our Huawei lasted most of the day while traveling around Africa. It takes a while to charge (overnight) but that is okay.

Great product.
I bought this for my brother who lives in Colombia. He has 4G speed in Bogota with Claro carrier. He went to Los Llanos region and there he only gets 3G, but that's the carrier's capacity. He plans to take it with him to Venezuela or other countries when he travels for work.

Great buy
Work real good in the Grenadine Islands on our boat and since then two other groups on the boat have used it and all are very happy. Only had to change an APP number to start it working.

This is great for international travel
This is great for international travel. In most countries you can get a prepaid data SIM for fairly cheap (compared to roaming data charges) stick it in this device and now you have data for all your wifi devices.

Overall a very good device but a few niggles......
I have purchased a few of these devices over recent years. This continues with Huawei's good standards. I purchased if for the bigger battery and that it also can accept an external antenna, two items that my last Huawie device lacked.Battery life is excellent (will update later with some figures. My gripes - it is very slow to charge (about 16 hours from 3% to 100%). Also - why can't Huawei sell a portable device with antenna sockets and an ethernet port? Each of their devices is a sacrifice on something. I have to carry two devices with me (my other device has an ethernet port that I can connect to an ethernet cable and use it as a wi-fi router). I would happily pay a little extra for this...Lastly, why oh why does it display the wi-fi password? Defeats the purpose of having security if anybody can look at it and access your wi-fi network.

Not Ts9 external antenna sockets.
Great little unit with a bigger battery than other models. The power doesn't last as long as I'd hoped though, I'm getting about 8 hours from fully charged, listening to continuous streaming radio.I also bought an external antenna with Ts9 plugs. The antenna sockets on the E5377Ts are NOT Ts9... the are something similar but not Ts9 (the sockets are not deep enough to allow the antenna plugs to fully connect - they are perhaps Ts7). So I gently squeezed the antenna plugs with pliers and they now stay attached reasonably securely to the mifi. The set up works perfectly in any case but I was a bit disappointed by this. With hindsight I would have bought a cheaper mifi with actual, confirmed, Ts9 antenna sockets. Huawei don't specify what the antenna sockets on this device are at all, I relied on someone saying they are Ts9. But they're not.

I had aTP Link mobile wifi in which I used a Three network sim on a mobile wifi contract but somehow I could never get it to work abroad. I took a bit of a chance spending another Β£100 against the off chance it would work with the Three sim when the TP Link wouldn't. Thankfully, it worked a treat. Also the "screen" shows texts and other information, which my TP Link didn't. Switching on roaming abroad was a doddle too as it is just part of the easy-to-use operating menu. Now I get 1gig of wifi in UK and France each month for only Β£7 on their Feel at Home deal.If you know a cheaper way of getting wifi in France (and all the other Feel at Home countries) I'd be pleased to hear it.

Great MiFi
I just love this MiFi. It lives in my messenger bag, and I am always connected as I look at web stuff a lot, and get my emails immediately. The battery lasts all day. If you want an antenna, then you need a TS-9 antenna, and you might have to slightly crimp the plugs as I did, but they fit like a glove. I have not tried it abroad yet, but you will need to create a profile and put the APN in the profile. Might be worth having a coffee near the phone shop just incase you have to revisit(as I did). If you change the sim card, you may need to delete the profile or restore to factory as my tablet did not recognise after I lent the MiFi to a friend to test. All in all, I just love it, and it's my best friend right now.

Fantastic bit of kit
I had an earlier version of this which worked well, but often 'dropped off' and needed to be reset so thought this would be an improvement.Well, it really is great, very economical on battery use and is ready for 4G too.It has the advantage of an app that allows you to check on your usage and in my case tells me how much data I have left.Lots of features, thoroughly recommend
