We use this to add to almond milk, lattes, smoothies, energy balls, basically anything you want sweeter and chocolatey in a recipe it will fit the bill with no added sweetener because it’s perfectly sweet as it is. Others here are complaining about the added maltodextrin which is not to be confused with MSG. Maltodextrin is a carb powder from plants like rice and corn that simply helps thicken another plant based food. It does not cause health problems unless one is allergic to the grain being used. Anyway this is a delicious additive to anyone’s healthy diet who desires to have more nutrition and less sugar but still have enjoyable treats!

This product is awesome!. It is gluten and dairy free, tastes great, blends well, and (I believe) helps me to feel great. I use it about 4-5 Times per week either as a meal replacement or late night snack. In meal replacement s , I combine 1 scoop of the chocolate silk, 1 scoop of Kenzen Vital Balance Mix with vanilla powder, half a banana, a handful of frozen berries (Doles Frozen berry mix), a cup of Silk Pure Almond Milk with vanilla and blend in my Magic Bullet blender. Yummy! Depending on the amt of ice that I use, I can change its consistency from that of a chocolate milkshake to ice cream. I sometimes willl add Greek yogurt or coconut oil or other Barlean Organic oil products, like the Omega Swirls, which contain fish oils. I get energy boosts, an extra shine and vitality to my hair and skin and fewer leg cramps. Now I don't attribute all of these attributes just to the chocolate silk green mix, but it is a great binder mix for smoothies that makes everything taste great. By the way. I am a nearly 60 year old African American woman with a history of low thyroid and medium high blood pressure. Although I am not off of my meds, I feel so much better after months of taking my shakes and have fewer hunger cravings with more energy.

Barleens is tasty

I don't like many vegetables and husband is on Coumadin so greens are pretty much not on our table. Tasty way to get my greens. Took one star as it doesn't dissolve especially well. I even tried warm milk (yuk) but it mixes fairly well in my morning protein drink. Haven't tried cold milk yet. I will order again.

I have been taking this product for many years, love the refreshing taste.. It makes me feel so cleansed and detoxed..

For over a year I have religiously mixed the kiwi strawberry blend of this same product into water every morning. I do this because metamucil is chalky and actually hurts if you get the wrong amt. I just found out that they have this chocolate flavor, and maybe even a berry? Alright! The chocolate is very yummy just like the kiwi strawberry. I use this everyday since I survived colon cancer and you know, I'm still very healthy now. I will retest soon and report back if this regular safe plant based and super vitamin packed mix is healing energy or not. I feel well, I like the product, now let's test and see if this has created a more stable environment for my guts coping with an involuntary eating disorder. I survived a crime that left me throwing up food whether I like it or not. These products help me protect myself from all of that loss of nutrition and importantly plant based fibers that we all need so desperately to repair our cells in real time. Thank you to the Barleans family for not just making a great product, but for offering actually decent tasting stuff so that when I get a choice, I Still like them both. I don't want to give any of them up. Who would know a few years ago I would reject all fruits and veggies. Well me and my MD got me past that, and your family is how. Thanks guys.
