Read instructions carefully
Nice looking watch. I’m not happy about a $200.00 watch that I cannot set the time zone for even with two sets of instructions. It says to press so-and-so button and something should happen. It doesn’t. Therefore, I have a $200.00 watch that runs two hours fast. I’m taking it to a jeweler today and if it cannot be set, I’m sending it back.Re-review a couple of weeks later. After taking my time and fully (almost) understanding the instructions, I was able to set the watch as I should have to begin with.I love the watch but not so much the watchband. I switched it with a twist-o-flex.Yet another added review- March 2021.No matter how hard I try, this watch constantly runs two minutes slow. I’ll never order another watch online.

Two watches, neither worked
I have worn a Stauer model 15442 for several years so I know how to operate one. Actually, I've worn two. I broke one doing heavy labor and bought another. Now the 2nd had begun losing time. I had the battery replaced, but then the hands would not properly align. So I took it back to the jeweler who replaced the battery, and he "fixed" it. The hands no longer moved smoothly when aligning at 12, so I figured the jeweler had messed something up inside and I decided to get a new one. When my new watch arrived, I set the time zone, then pressed button B (5 seconds) to make the hands align at 12. They didn't. So I pushed button D enough times (about 180 times) to get the hands aligned at 12. Then I waited and the hands moved to an incorrect time. When the hands were moving, I could see a jerkiness to the movement which worried me. So I pushed button B again (holding for 5 sec) and the hands moved toward 12 but never made it. So I pushed button D to align the hands. I went through this process several times. Every time I pressed button B, the hands would wind up in a different position and after waiting, the hands moved to a different (incorrect) time. I let the watch sit for half a day hoping the watch would go to the correct time (radio controlled, don't you know) but it never did. I sent the watch back to Amazon in exchange for another one (same make, same model). The second one was even worse. The radio tower would not stay on, although I had it next to the watch I wanted to replace which had the radio tower visible the whole time. So in addition to the hands being not aligning and the movement being jerky, the watch would not stay in contact with the radio signal which is supposed to keep it at the right time. I sent the second watch back for a refund. In addition to the watches not working, there were different contents in the boxes they came in. In the first box, there were extra links to expand the watchband. In the second box, there were no links, but the watchband was longer. The second watch has a plastic label on the face of the watch; the first watch didn't. I think there were other differences, but I can't remember for sure so I won't mention them.Meanwhile, the malfunctioning watch that started all this has resumed working reliably, so I'm no longer in search of a new watch. But when I again wish to replace my watch, it won't be through Amazon. While they were very good about taking the watches back, I don't want to (potentially) waste more time and energy. The watch costs too much to have to mess around with it. In this case, two strikes and "yer out". I will either work directly with Stauer or go a completely different direction.

Great watch except...
The watch is beautiful and almost indestructible. Of course being radio controlled is the biggest virtue. The cons are that it is a bear to try and set the time zone. I've sent two of them back because I spent hours following the directions on how to set the damn things, to no avail. Also taking out links for a smaller wrist size is a huge project. First you have to buy a watchband adjustment kit, and then struggle for an hour or two to accomplish the task. Plus getting help from Stauer is a battle. Like so many companies today, they are interested in only 'Profit,' they don't care about 'Customer Service!'

Aesthetically pleasing, accurate, and timeless.
I first saw this watch in a 2009 Ad, “Governmentfinally get’s something right!” Now that I own it, Iwholeheartedly agree. Beautifully balanced design, harmonious colors, accurate time keeping, has a ‘date window,’ comfortable to wear, compliment’sjewelry, and suitable for dress up or when casual.

This watch is excellent until daylight saving time changes.
I bought this watch in May 0f 2023. When daylight saving time ended on 11/5/23 the watch went back about 2 hours and 15 minutes instead of 1 hour. There was nothing I could do to get it back to the correct time. This is the second watch like this I had that had a similar problem.

Received used watch
I bought this as a gift. When opened saw that the watch had been used, clasp does not work and there is dirt embedded in the clasp. Since it was for a birthday, was unaware of problems until it was opened by boyfriend. So sad - poor birthday for him.)

Only mildly pleased.
Received this watch very economically through NRA American Rifleman magazine. Not happy with how it keeps time. Does not update as indicated. constantly runs 2 minutes slow.
