I love the flexibility of the flex. These look more rigid? Thanks.** A: Hi. Thanks for your interest. Definitely a bit more rigid than the standard nylon. However, the grip is outstanding on these, even better than the Herco Flex picks. Thanks again. Jack / Jax Music Supply **Q: You I use a medium thickness in picks, what would you recommend in these?** A: I bought the heaviest nylon in this style of pick and upon playing the piick seem to bend and give a little bit against the string especially the thicker gauge strings. If you are looking for a pick that doesn't feel like it bends while playing which I really don't care for that feeling when I'm playing. I quickly went out and bought the Dunlap big stubby and little stubby guitar picks in 1 mm 2 mm and 3 mm. If you are used to using medium gauge pics I would recommend the 1 mm big stubby and a little stubby. I hope that helps and makes sense. **Q: Are the 1.5mm Dunlop Maxgrips a good pick for a beginning jazz acoustic guitar student?** A: These picks will work for acoustic playing. As far as jazz playing I prefer the Dunlop jazz III or the stubby 2 or 3mm. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Textured surface makes these picks a winner *by J***S on September 26, 2026* I really love these picks. I bought these the week I got back! Great flexibility and my favorite part is the grip - I don’t ever lose it while playing because of the grip. Great for beginners or experts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly durable, great for all styles of playing *by S***C on July 28, 2026* Incredibly durable and comfortable picks. I’ve been switching between this pick & the Tortex Flow for my style of playing (blues, rock & metal) and so far I’ve only had to use one pick in the last 2.5 months. These things do NOT wear out! The grip is a very nice touch for sweaty hands too. Another easy purchase for me in the future. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dunlop 449P.73 Max-Grip® Nylon Standard, Gray, .73mm, 12/Player's Pack - JIM DUNLOP 73mm Standard Pack (12-Pack) Nylon Pick 12 Pack (22044073112) - Dunlop Tortex Standard .73mm Yellow Guitar Pick, 12 Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/1407270-jim-dunlop-max-grip-nylon-standard-pick-73mm-12-pack](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/1407270-jim-dunlop-max-grip-nylon-standard-pick-73mm-12-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
