Great Knife A bit heavy for daily pocket carry
This Victorinox multi-tool is just that. A versatile multi tool. I purchased it specifically for its multi-tool functions, and the tools I have utilized have not disappointed. I was quite impressed with the wood saw, and the scissors are quite useful. The knife blades are very sharp. The can and bottle openers function well. Due to the smallish size of the tool's handler. the screwdrivers lack the mechanical advantage to be really effective. But, for smaller lighter tasks seem adequate. The only real complaint, and it's really more of a personal preference, is that it is a bit too heavy to comfortably carry in a pants pocket. Guess that's why the leather pouch to attach to your belt is included. This really deserves the FIVE STARS I gave it.

Very Useful Tool
The quality was about what I expected at this price point. All of the quality is in the blades/tools. The liners are basic aluminum with crude edges and the the handles are soft plastic. I am sure they did this to keep a certain price point and still keep the manufacturing in Switzerland. The carrying pouch is nice but I wish it fastened with a loop instead of a hook. I am sure there are instances where it could be pulled off your belt without noticing. The knife is very handy and I would recommend everyone have one available for everyday use or emergencies.

Typically excellent Victorinox product with just the right amount of tools
Absolutely wonderful quality Swiss Army Knife, as per usual for Victorinox. All the tools open silky smooth and have no play in them. The hinges all look to come pre-oiled which is nice too. The sheath is very nice quality too with a belt clip though it may sit a little high on the hip for some. The box they come in is a silly, paper thin cardboard box. Amazon shipped this in a bubble envelope so the whole product packaging came totally demolished in the post and completely ungiftable in that state. I had to take it out and wrap it individually which was fine, but annoying, and wouldn't suit a more formal gift to someone. So if you want to gift this to someone and it's a little more formal to where you can't give them an opened present, buy a bunch of bulky stuff at the same time to ensure it comes in a cardboard shipping box or the packaging will get squashed 🙂

Boy did I need this!
My first swiss army knife was one that I got as a gift in 1988 and lasted all these years until it started to fall apart (I still use some of its blades though). This was the perfect replacement for that knife and it certainly is nice to be able to use all the blades and tools now.

This is my fourth SAK. I love them.
This is my fourth SAK and I love how much I can get done with one of these. The addition of having a belt clip on is great for keeping my knife from scratching up my phone. Or if I’d wear pants without pockets I can clip the holder to my sleeve or elsewhere. It had a metal button to hold it closed. This is an official victorinox product in traditional mass production packaging. Nothing fancy from a packaging perspective but ultimately very useful. Only pitfall is that the belt case doesn’t feel as premium as you’d expect a SAK to be. Still very good and doesn’t feel anymore bulky than a nokia brick phone.

A classic with endless utility
This is a must-have tool in my book. Bought this one to replace an older, almost identical Swiss Army knife I lost. That one lasted forever, so I expect this one will too.Pros:* Extremely sharp blades* Well-oiled hinges; easy to open and close* Good mix of tools in a compact form factor* Tweezers! (worth the price of admission all on their own)Cons:* No file. Really hard to find in knives this size.* The included pouch is disappointing. It looks and feels cheap, and it is WAY too large. Might be useful for putting the knife on a belt, but this is a pocket knife. The knife on its own is nice and small, but the pouch makes it big and clunky. I put the pouch away in a drawer and don't expect to get any use out of it. Would have bought the knife on its own and saved some money if I had known what the pouch was like.

A proven tough and very useful pocket knife.
This little knife is worth its weight in gold, or at least silver. I carried this knife for many years in my daypack when I was on active duty. It has just the right amount of tools, not to big. Especially useful are the saw (which will cut through just about anything), the scissors (will easily trim finger and toe nails), and the best can opener in the knife business, even better than a "John Wayne". After I retired I went to work as a contractor training international military people. In my job I travel a lot and many times it's to 3rd world countries. This little knife has been invaluable during those trips. Everything from fixing bad bathroom and electrical fixtures to opening cans of food, to cleaning fish and slicing fruit. I have not babied this knife in anyway and it has met every challenge. I have used it a lot in and around salt water and if you just rinse it off, it doesn't rust. The blades are sharp and easy to sharpen. I think the only tool I haven't ever used is the Hook thing? Not sure what that is to be honest and would rather have a Phillips head screwdriver in its place. My knife came with a more subdued red color (see picture) vs. the bright red you see here? Plus I didn't get (or want) a pouch. The bottom line is I've carried this little knife around the world and have used it almost daily with great results. Add to this a machete and I feel like 99% of your cutting needs in a survival situation would be met.

My Son Needed This!
So...my son's employment will have him out in the field, all over the world, soon. I knew he needed a bottle opener, a can opener, scissors, a small knife-blade, etc.... I was happy that this knife came with a carrying case, and I know he is going to love it as a Christmas present. :-)
