Easy to integrate DIY
The kit does come with all of the smaller things you need to get these running, including:* Prop (mine came with a spare)* The waterproof switch (I did not end up using this)* Battery terminal connectors* A starter control interface (potentiometer)The motors themselves seem to deliver. I wish I had some more scientific tools to measure how powerful they are, but a pair of them push my 10 ton catamaran ~3.5 knots. The kit is a good example of the best way that OEMs can package things in a way for a hobbyist: everything you need to get it *working*, but ready to integrate/replace as needed. Things like using standard Anderson connectors and the potentiometer are examples of using easy-to-use interfaces for integration. The manufacture is easy to contact, friendly, and is happy to answer technical questions about the product. My only criticism would be the gauge size of the wire. For pulling a max of 56 amps, the wires should be larger. In the end I used my own wire (6 awg) in place of the provided cables (with the exception of the cables inside the shaft).
