An excellent Bluetooth keyboard case for an iPad Air with a long lasting rechargeable battery!
This is an excellent Bluetooth keyboard case that has a lot of features built in. It has a rechargeable lithium battery that you can charge with your computer's USB port or with any USB AC wall charger that you own. It has a nice iPad slot so you can set your iPad into a tilt mode and make it look like a mini laptop. When you insert your tablet into the groove a mechanical tilt brace pops up out of the top of the keyboard to better support the iPad. When you want to close up the case then just press the pop up stand down and it will latch into the down position. Before you use the keyboard for the first time you should charge it and it may take up to 5 hours to charge for the first time. You can charge the keyboard with your computer's USB port or with any 5 VDC USB AC wall charger you own. The LED charge light will turn red while the keyboard is charging and it will go out when it is fully charged. If the battery becomes low it will blink to indicate that it is time to recharge the battery. The battery is a rechargeable lithium battery that will last for more than 400 recharge cycles. It has an uninterrupted working time of 300 hours. The standby time is almost 300 days and don't forget there is a power switch that you can turn off to conserve the battery life. The battery is an 800 mAh lithium battery. Fully charged you can use the keyboard for up to 6 months at a usage of 2 hours per day.The keyboard has a magnetic latch that allows the keyboard to quickly attach to the side of your iPad. There are four rubber bumpers on the top of the keyboard to keep the keyboard from scratching your iPad Air. The back of the keyboard is aluminum and it matches the iPad very nicely. It is a very thin design and it looks very nice when attached to the iPad and closed. The overall weight of the keyboard is 11 3/4 ounces. The keyboard also has magnets in it that will put your iPad into the sleep mode or wake it up when you raise the keyboard off of the iPad. (Please see my video) The keyboard features a wireless Bluetooth 3.0 connection to your iPad and the pairing process is fast and easy. I show how to pair it in my video. Just remember that to start the Bluetooth pairing process you have to press the Fn Function Key and the C key at the same time. The working range of the Bluetooth is about 33 feet. I also go over the LEDs and controls on the keyboard in my video. What's in the box?* The keyboard that weighs in at 11 3/4 ounces* There is a charging cable that is 31 inches long. There is a USB on one end and a Micro USB on the other end.* Two sets of four rubber stick on feet.* A brief instruction manual. The keyboard is very nice and the letter keys and the shift keys are larger than they were on older styles of Bluetooth keyboards. They have made the top row of specialty keys smaller as well as the arrow keys to allow more space for the keys that you use the most. Remember that the auto capitalization, double space for a period and the auto spell functions do not work when you are using the keyboard as opposed to typing on the iPad's virtual keyboard. The top row of specialty keys are home, dim screen, brighten screen, keyboard display on the iPad, copy, paste, international keyboard, skip back, play/pause, skip forward, mute volume, volume down, volume up and lock the iPad. If you stop typing for 15 minutes the keyboard will go to sleep to save battery life and you only have to touch any key to turn it back on. Wait for two or 3 seconds before you begin speed typing. The unit comes with an 18 month warranty. My only slight negative observation is that the keyboard surface is highly glossy and it is a fingerprint magnet. This is a very nice keyboard with a lot of features and I rate it as a 5 star item.I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

Good quality, cheap price, good bargain!
Just bought this keyboard about a week ago and have been using and testing heavily. I've split this up into Pros and Cons.Pros: Pice (cheap), very light, very thin, does not add much bulk to the Air 2, typing is nice, acts as a "smart" cover to wake or put iPad to sleep, seems like a decent quality product.Cons: No backing to protect the back of the iPad with this device, only one viewing angle, magnet not strong enough to hold the iPad to the keyboard when propped up (I picked it up at an angle accidentally and the magnet where it's propped was not strong enough to hold in place and my iPad fell out...Thank goodness the fall was only a few inches on the counter!...Live and learn...).I give this 4 stars overall. This is truly a great product and compares greatly to the Logitech keyboard at a third of the price! I took a star off mainly because of the viewing angle issue and that there is no back plate to protect the back of my iPad. Best keyboard cover I've owned for any iPad - with one small reservation. This is being used on my iPad Air 2
I really, really like this keyboard cover. I've owned 3 keyboard covers before and this one is hand's down the best. Here's why:1) The battery life is terrific. The keyboard itself charges up in just a couple of hours and so far I have been so impressed with it. The battery-life is advertised to last 6 months with 2 hours of use a day and so far I've been using this for weeks and I haven't had to recharge it once.2) With my past keyboards, often the board would "slip" out of the grooves and/or a key would stick and I would have to either lift the cover up or disconnect the bluetooth and re-pair. Those of you who have had this problem know what I am talking about. Not so with this case - it stays firmly in the groove and it's dependable with no keys sticking.3) The viewing angle is just perfect, and you can easily balance your iPad on your lap and type. Very sturdy and secure and easy to use as a laptop this way.4) The keyboard is comfortable and it's as easy to type on it as the keyboard on my desktop - no accidental typing of the wrong keys or pushing up/down buttons and skipping around.5) This is such a light keyboard cover, it's great for the iPad 2 Air (which I have) because it doesn't add any weight or bulk when it's attached. That's a big deal because one of the benefits of the newer iPads is that they are lightweight and thin and most keyboard covers defeat that advantage.Saying that, the one reservation I have is that very lightness - I just feel like this keyboard is not particularly "secure" with this cover attached and if I dropped it, I would significantly damage my iPad. I don't know for sure this is the case since I haven't dropped it yet, but it does feel like the cover would easily slide off.I've resolved this by buying an iPad sleeve and I feel like my iPad is more protected. You can get a good sleeve for under ten dollars and I think the investment is well worth it. Note that I am not taking any stars off because of this because the keyboard is so good and dependable, it's worthy of 5 stars and it's intentionally lightweight for the reasons stated earlier.Recommended.
